Hello guys. My name is Silviu and I'm from Romania. Advertisment: my english is not so good :D .

So let's start. I have an AMD FX-8320 and as mb an Asrock 980de3/u3s3. I don't like the stock cooler and i want to buy a new one. My buget is like 34, 35 dollars. I want to say that in Romania some products are more expensive than same products in other international shop. I forgot to mention that I have an old case with a littel cooler one the left side of the case and I don't want to OC my processor or other pieces. Can u give me some recommandations for a new Cooler?

Need to know the exact case or a picture

Hi

Welcome to TPU

+1 Jetster ; need to know what chassis/case

What brand and model memory?; are they high or low profile memory modules, makes a difference when looking for CPU Heat Sink clearance

Note: if get a chance go here fill in full system specs brand names and model, this will help the TPU community to assist further

Hi

Dont' even know the producer. It's a second-hand case

Going to need photo + measurement from the motherboard tray to the side panel
[Crude calculation: next would need to deduct 5mm for standoffs, 2mm for motherboard PCB, 2mm for CPU Skt and if the side fan is lined up with the CPU Skt deduct *25mm] (*depending on the depth of the fan)
(this should give the internal height)

Note: is not 100% accurate calculation

The Cooler master 212 EVO or + should work. You will have to remove the fan on the side panel
The TX3 will definitely work 90mm

Hyper 212 EVO if it can fit... its around 30$ in the U.S.

That stock cooler at high RPMS drove me insane.

Glad to see the TX-3 get some love! It's actually quite a good cooler for the price, and cools well if you only have a mild overclock,

Motherboard tray to inside of side cover minus 16mm is safe measurement for CPU clearance.
CPUs set 8mm above motherboard,surface
Motherboard surface is just slightly less then 8mm above motherboard tray.

I think i will buy a new case too....Any recommandations?

I need some new string, any suggestions? :slap:

Hard to make a suggestion without knowing something about your requirements, space limitations, preferences etc. ;)

I'm partial to Fractal Design Define/Arc, Phanteks Enthoo Primo/Luxe/Pro. But they are what I use the most and am the most familiar with. There are many other good case. :D

Really it depends on you. What size do you want (obviously wide enough for the cpu cooler :D), how much do you want to spend. Do you prioritize cooling over noise, or is less noise the most important. Or do you like a balance? What features do you want in your case?

Something to consider, if you pick well on the case, you might have several lifetimes of builds in it!

What RTW Junkie said.

And I'll add a good cooler is can also be considered an investment to use in future builds. Cases and coolers are about the only things that live on and on. Coolers more so than cases. I'm still using my first heatpipe cooler, an Ultra 120A purchsed in March of 2007 .. almost 8 years ago.

I want a balanced cooler-less nosie and good cooloing. About the case i don't have preferences. My budget for the case and cooler is about 40 Euros.

Start saving. 40-60 euro is enough for a good cooler, but a good case is about 40-60 euro.

I hate being the Debbie Downer, but you should not overclock with that motherboard.

http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/980DE3U3S3/

The thermals are poor and the end result is going to be very bad.

This is what I would do:

Ditch the case. Run your rig out of a shoebox and it will be better than what you have.

Spend your money on a descent motherboard if you really want to overclock that 8 core FX:

http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-2176449/list-motherboards-overclocking-am3-cpus.html

Get a new CPU cooler AFTER you get your new case and motherboard.

I don't want to overclock my motherboard. I know i've made a bad choise but i didnt had so much money and i needed a new pc as quickly as possible. For now i dont have enough money to buy another MB. Let's say that i dont want to overclock my processor and play some games like FIFA 15, CS:GO, some editing programs, how much time my mb will resist in this conditions? Abot the cooler i need a new one because the stock one is soooooo louder and me and my mother cant support that sound.

Decent cooler air :

Air cooler would be a cheap option for your needs, but you can also consider watercooling, decent All in One unit would work pretty fine, lower temps and also quiet modes would contribute to your home's peace,

There are starter kits as Corsair H60, Thermaltkae Water 3.0 performer, Coolermaster seidon 120V, as a cheap option, they should perform pretty good, take minimal space because they feature slim radiator,

if you look at my system specs you may realize that im currently using a AIO from thermaltake to keep my CPU fresh :D

Why is it that people don't understand? Most advertising is just hype and snake oil. The simple fact is and has been that CLC are not as good, cost more, don't last as long, are much louder and if the pump fails you SOL until you replace the whole system. Air coolers only have fan to fail, and if it does they usually work fine at low load .. or strap on whatever is handy until it's replaced.

The reason may reviews show CLC out performing air is because they are not monitoring the case air temp .. more specifically the cooler / radiator intake air temp. This is the air temp that determines how cooler the CPU will be, not the room ambient. .. and I've never seen a computer system with the same cooler intake air temp as room ambient. Sure, if a CLC radiator and fan/s are mounted as an intake it will be using room ambient air temp, but that makes the case an oven. Even mounted as exhaust they have an advantage of dumping their heated exhaust outside the case. Now if the case airflow is optimized it will only be 2-4c warmer inside than room .. and give temps similar and usually better than CLC .. definitely better if CLC fans are slowed down to similar noise level as air cooler. :peace:

Somewhere I have a Corsair H100 i have to check where is and if there's some parts missed, if it's complete I give it to you.

I would suggest you look at the NZXT source 210 or a Deepcool tesseract but I like the NZXT more.

Thank you man ! But i think the shipping will be expensive+case price......

What case?
I am talking about a cooler, and shipping it's not a problem.

Plus I am giving it to you no selling it.

My question is: will a H100 fit in your case?
