Help needed.

Another thing, when i tried new gpu in old mb the fans started... And in new mb they did not, also with both psu

Definitely try that before taking it to the shop because at least from my experience they tend to overcharge everything :D
Sure do :p

Does it have anything to say that its conected to case?

I looked up the manual of your motherboard and it seems to have 8 pin cpu connector but also a 6 pin pci-e connector. The 7870 requires 2 pci-e connectors (this means you may need 3 but normally that shouldnt be the case and you should connect only the 2 on the graphic card). when you tried your old gpu did you connect one of the 6 pin pci-e connectors to the board as well?

I dont understand the question? Do you mean could it be because it is in your PC case. Take it out for now just to be sure that you haven't shorted anything

Yes, did do that.i have a molex adapter. That i connected to pwrcon/pci-e and two from psu in to gpu. I'll try take it out of case in the morning, talk to you then.

For the 5450 connect one of the 6pin pci-e connectors to the motherboard and see if it boots like that. For the 7870 connects just the 2x pci-e connectors to the gpu and leave the one on the motherboard not connected as it shouldnt be neccesary in this case

Sounds a lot like the secondary 4 or 8 pin power on the board is not plugged in.

Sorry if I repeat myself but did you also try the new motherboard with your old CPU + old gpu + new psu? Are you sure you are connecting the power supply correctly? both the 4/8 pin cpu connector to the motherboard and the 2x 6 pin connectors to the 7870? Finally did you clear the cmos on the new board?

now I tried all that, no post screen what so ever.

And For the 5450 you connected one of the 6pin pci-e connectors to the motherboard? I am running out of ideas then except that some parts are broken :/ But what is the chance of both the motherboard and the GPU to get damaged during shipping...

Yes. did that.
Yeah know, they do not handle pack's with care tho, so would'nt suprise me.

Gonna test New gpu, at a friend today. So wil know for sure then.

If i don't find out whats wrong at the end of the day, i'll take it to komplett.no they are not that far away so.

How can i display what hardisk windows is on ?

ESD

I assume they where packed in anti static bag. And even if it werent, i have never in my 18 years operating with computers had problems with ESD. Not saying it's not possible but i find it highly unlikely

Www.google.com look it up. I had to read in books how to build computers and how to troubleshoot them 17 years ago.

@krusha03 I've killed ram that way.

It be safer for you to take it to a shop.

Hey there.

Have been in contact with support now, and they could comfirm. the mb and gpu is broken somehow.
but the good news is that the gpu had warenty still yet. so am getting a new one, same or even better he said.

and i bougth new cpu and mb

here are they listed, guess this wil work pretty good

https://www.komplett.no/amd-fx-6350-black-edition/781150 CPU.
https://www.komplett.no/msi-970-gaming-socket-am3/819931 MOTHERBOARD

@krusha03
Sorry to hear that. So what happened with the MB and CPU you bought 2nd hand? did you get your money back?

That is a very good AM3 motherboard and it's a decent cpu (i have the 6300) but if you are buying new you should be aware that for a bit more you can get:

https://www.komplett.no/msi-b85m-e45-socket-1150/794115
https://www.komplett.no/intel-core-i5-4460/815204

Which would be a better choice

Lol I thought I recognized the name. Then I saw komplett.no nice to see fellow Scandinavians.

Cdon.no has better part prices atm tho

Take esd precautions when handling electronics

was in a hurry didnt have time to check with you.

Yeah i did get the money back on mb only and the shipping cost and 1hour of support work, its about 75 us dollar.
The cpu stil works. so could resell it, they didnt have any am3 mb in store longer, so i had to buy new cpu and mb

Any AM3+ motherboard will also work with that Phenom 1100T. So in theory you dont need the FX cpu. For example the motherboard you linked:

http://us.msi.com/support/mb/970-GAMING.html#support-cpu

I think I got a am3+ motherboard and a AMD 6 core somewhere in storage. If I can find and u live in Trondheim then I can give u it if u need

You can always return in, right? normally there is 14 days return for any reason if you dont open the package

Marginally better at stock, difference increases with overclock but it's hardly worth 150 euros
