XFX RX 480 GTR Performance Results

Your GPU is like most then, maybe a tad better. But that one from Jay is another dimension. Probably he can hit way over 1500 with it, if he tries or installs watercooling on it.

All of these cards can hit 1500 with proper cooling, bumped power limits and some core voltage. I'm running 1465/2250 benchmarking and 1435/2250 games on the stock bios/core voltage only running out on power limits.

Yep pump/res Combo on that Gpu

I like to live on the edge :rockout:

You're also dumping 20-30w of heat, vibration, and weight on to your card not to mention a great source of gpu killing water should the worse happen.

Pump barely draws 20W
Doesn't vibrate
Weighs next to nothing

Distilled water isn't conductive. I've poured it on Gpus and bored before with no affects

Wow. You're actually arguing that its ok to put a ddc pump/res on top of your gpu. How lazy/negligent does one have to be to argue this point?

If its stupid but works its not stupid. Also, his system, his risk, what is your point in posting here exactly, other than to be a dick?

I'm the dick for pointing out how perilous that is?

How does that make me lazy

It works and it works how I want it so obviously I knew how to route and run everything. This isn't my first rig bro

Just like mentioned. My rig my risk

If it goes belly up oh well I'll just replace it

smh just filling that loop is gonna be risky
No was very easy to fill and drain

Weird you came to the conclusion that this is the best layout for your loop... But yea, it's on you.

It works doesn't it

The best layout is the one that works

Durvelle27, is this your first loop?
Hahahahahahaha one could wish

I've had many loops over the years

This worse then the one you guys crying about :rockout:

Im liking this one a lot more to be honest :---D

Here's mine, please overlook the shitty zipties everywhere, im gonna get black ones or a better way of holding shit together. As for the long tubes and lack of angled fittings; I just dont trust angled fittings anymore, besides longer tubes makes changing hardware a lot easier.

My loop is dangerous to some, no reservoir, and I have had a couple leaks, and its running glycol industrial coolant and dish soap to prevent growth, and a tiny bit of water wetter. I have a end with just a plug in it to add coolant as it slowly goes down. But it is my loop, and my system, and if I ever run out of coolant and I kill it, or if I have a leak, or if my pump fails, it all on me.

How do you even fill it without it being a pain in the ass ?

Its just a pain in the ass, I use a syringe without a needle to fill up with, and the system runs 24/7 and has for years, only coming down for maintenance three times mainly for hardware changes.

Why dont you reward yourself with a good old res or respump combo :D?

I don't want/need one, plus with the case size and layout its impossible. Pump is mounted upside down a short distance from the radiator.

I love my XFX 290. I had to mod it and put VRM heatsinks on, but other than that, XFX makes a solid card.
