OK, I just went out and got BF2 deluxe w/special forces! What are the other boosters, do I need them and is everyone using the 1.41 patch? So far this looks better than 2142 to me.

OK WTF, I've downloaded both the full 1.41 patch and the tampa map, and I can't get either to work when I play, they do install. WTF?

BF2 can be a bitch to install sometimes. Go to my docs and delete the BF2 directory.

im rhino_easy and i always play on the bf2 texasteamplayers server. usually im on from 1:30-3:00PM eastern and the if im lucky for an hour at night between like 7-8PM eastern.

I'm freakin lost here. Is it supposed to say that I'm using version 1.41? Where the hell is the Tampa map that I installed? I'm confused, help me!!!!

Don't feel bad! Because of the way EA/Dice designed and programmed the battlefield 2 and 2142 games, thats enough to confuse the hell out of even the most veteran PC user! :wtf:

As long as you have the game fully installed and have successfully run the 1.41 patch afterwards, you should be good to go. Just hop online and give it a try.

I personaly haven't touched BF anything in quite awhile... I own the entire series : BF 1942 + all expansions, BF Vietnam, BF 2 + Special Forces + Armored Fury + Euro Force, BF 2142 + Northern Strike. Funny thing is, I bought Northern Strike and have yet to play it and for that matter, I haven't even played BF 2142 in quite awhile either (since before northern strike came out)! :twitch:

Call me lame but what little time I do have for gaming these day ends up being in Guild Wars : NightFall.

U have to search for a sever/just look for tampa/

Bf2 SF or mods are the only ones you have to run outside of the main BF2

good question hhaha. well the nice thing is that server isnt packed between 1:30pm - 3pm est so it shouldnt be a big problem. ill just wait to start a squad once most people have joined other squads. i can always ask nicely for someone to leave if it oomes to it.
