Hello,
I'm wondering can someone point out how do i flash my GPU bios or mod it soo i can increase power limit because its stuck to 130%(max) but i need 150%.
It has 6Pin connector soo 150% wouldn't be a problem.
I won't blame anyone if i corrupt/brick bios.

I was thinking to flash this bios

I have all ready done flashing with ATI/AMD with R7 250, soo i wanna know how to do with 10 series.

Hi

Before flashing; make a backup of the original vga Vbios; as this is not going to end well

I have never flashed in windows but using a USB bootable with nvflash i think the command is something like "nvflash -4 -5 -6 bios.rom"

You cannot modify nvidia pascal bios's.

Even is you could modify the BIOS, it'll do you no good. The power limit on GTX 10xx series is hard wired. You can only do it through a hard pencil mod or resistor mod off the PCB.

If you are savvy and willing to risk destroying your card, go here: https://overclocking.guide/increase-the-nvidia-power-limit-all-cards/

I would consider trying it on my 1070 Ti... if it weren't for the fact that a replacement will cost over $700 right now.

Shame that they did with 10 series gpu locking out...
I guess its waiting time till mod comes, or someone bugs out it.
I could do pencil mode in 3 months soo i can afford new gpu in case i burn this out, variable resistor would be good one.
Thanks for help.

But i've heard from my friend over toms that he cross flashed all 1070? bioses, and all of them worked.
If im going to flash im gonna order bios flasher for that.

I was disappointed when I learned that. For the 1070 Ti cards, that means 2000-2100 max core no matter what.

Flashing will no doubt increase default clocks and probably push the power limit to the max (typically 120%)

I dont know your friend but i would strongly dispute this. A 1050Ti cannot be flashed into a 1070. The specs are far too different.

I was thinking of cross flashing from Gigabyte because it has increased power limit to 150% from mine MSI 125% because its hitting limit.
(sorry for not replaying i was busy)

He flashed his 1070 other bioses not that im gonna flash 1070 on mine 1050Ti lol

Ahem, you brick your board you better hope you can unbrick it.

If you want to do any mods get an AMD Card

You actually can, but it's not for the faint of heart. It also comes with a whole list of caveats I won't get into here. It also doesn't work on anything below a 1080.

You'll also need at minimum, a hardware programmer and knowledge of assembly and bios structures.

So basically: What cdawall said.

I'm going to stick with what I said.

I know, I was being a smarty-pants.

Remember I didn't say it was impossible to mod them I said the OP couldn't do it

the best i can say is leave the card as it is... if you need moar horse power look for : used GTX 980 /980ti or 1070/1070ti or up, stop trying to modify what has been closed for some reasons, otherwise you would end bricking your card and feeling like retard cuz everyone tried to prevent you ...
