Open-back gaming headsets are few and far between, but Sennheiser didn't forget about users who prefer them over their closed-back brethren. Let's find out if the Sennheiser GSP 500 offers enough to justify its hefty $230/€229 price tag and if it's a worthy replacement for the company's excellent Game One gaming headset.

Leaks sound, hm.. does it really need to be in con when its simply part of open-back design? Cause like every headphone with same design do leak sound.

As for being worth it, sure. Sennheiser is bit like EIZO, they might seem expensive till you own one.

I suppose you could argue that it's not a con per say, as it's like that "by design", however I feel it needs to be pointed out, as some readers won't read what I wrote about the open-back concept and won't even think that sound leakage could be an issue. I didn't really take it into account when deciding on the grade though, so all is well :) If I'm not mistaken, this is the highest-rated gaming headset on TPU so far!

  • Leaks sound, requires a quiet room to be properly utilized
What? Is a open back headset, what would do expect? You should get the 600 version that's closed.

How does the gsp 500 compare to the "game one"?

I tried PC360 years ago (open), I got rid of them and I bought some Gaming Zero, which are closed. I have no doubt that my next headphones will be the GSP 500, so tired of not listening to myself and noticing me locked inside the headphones at night. From now on I will always buy open, I had a little doubt with the basses, since the Gaming Zero compared with the PC360 are clearly more forceful.
