Hello all,

I used the GOPupd utility to flash from a standard VBIOS to a UEFI GOP compliant one (forgive me if my terminology in not quite accurate).

I did upload the new version (I think) with GPU-Z and I did receive a pending validation ID so I hope it shows up for others to use.

I undertook this effort because I could not enable secure boot and the fast boot option and a csm option were missing from my bios.

Anyway, all is well now. Everything works now.

Sorry if I did not explain things well because I am not well versed in this area. See attachment:

Cheers!

Good job! Now someone here besides me knows how to do it. :)

Hi MrGenius,

I picked a lot of brains (at various forums) to figure out how to do it, and I learned a gigantic chunk of that "how to" from a few of your posts, so I guess I owe you a big "thank you!"

Cheers,

Give me another year or 2, im in a bad living situation...

Well, just for the record, I have an ASRock H310M-HDV. So, I decided to try the (now available) Fast Boot option, and I discovered I only have an Ultra Fast Boot option on this mobo (no standard fast boot). Why? I had both on my old ASRock B75M DGS R2.0? Anyway, I turned on the Ultra Fast Boot, and I get 5 bios beeps and then it boots into Windows 10 (but slower than before). So, I tried the restart to UEFI option, I get 5 beeps and a blank screen now. So, I go and do a bios reset via the cmos jumper. Turns out ASRock forgot to mention you need to "also" enable MRC Fast Boot (in the memory section) so all memory testing will be skipped. Thanks ASRock! OK, I guess the moral of the story is "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" I will enjoy looking at my newly available UEFI options but that's about it!

Cheers,

Oh, one more thing, ASRock support really stinks. I tried to submit a ticket for an unrelated issue and two weeks later they told me to go back to the store where I purchased the motherboard and ask them for help. This is not a joke: I Have an Unresolved Issue Due to Very Poor ASRock Support (read the 2nd review).

I just got registered to say thank you. Have the same graphics card or I believe I do (sapphire HD7750 ultimate). Updated the vbios from yours and got UEFI activated.

Cheers.
Here is info before the update and after. To get to the correct graphics card you have to select manually from device manager the driver from C:.//AMD/radeon-software-adrenalin......./packages/drivers/display/WT6A_INF/C0361901.inf
