Ubisoft has some of the most lucrative gaming franchises in the world right now, and the company is apparently planning to cache out on most of the through the end of 2020 and beginning of 2021. According to Twitter user Shinobi602, Ubisoft will be launching three AAA games - Watch Dogs Legion, Gods and Monsters and Rainbow Six Quarantine - between October and December 2020. Kotaku's own Jason Schreier then pilled on, adding that the two remaining games for the beginning of 2021 would be an Assassin's Creed and a new Far Cry game.

This means that Ubisoft's other franchises, such as Splinter Cell and the much-awaited-yet-somehow-forgotten Beyond Good & Evil 2, will not be releasing any time soon - at least not before March 2021. It remains to be seen, but it's likely all of these three games will see multi-generational releases between current and next-gen consoles.

5 new games with 500 new DRM systems preventing you from playing them "protecting" them.

They're really cranking out those Assassin's Creeds aren't they. Crankity Crank Crank Crank.

Let’s see, October 2018 to Spring 2021 is definitely not “crankity crank crank crank”. That’s a two and a half year span.

AAA? These are recycled B titles.
They meet the definition: An AAA game (usually pronounced "triple A game") is an informal classification used for video games with the highest development budgets and levels of promotion.

still no word of a new splinter cell game
though knowing what kind of trash they've been putting out maybe it's for the best

Zzz. I remember the days of exciting AAA game release announcements. I wonder if we will ever see them again. It's all about the profits, now.

People get so jaded and forget what fun is. Just let yourselves go, enjoy the wonder and fun of gaming like a child. It’s a wonderful way to approach games and truly enjoy yourself in a world of escape.

Remember when Prince Of Persia was a thing? Pepperidge farm remembers

Ubi just releases more and more boring games year after year. Far Cry 3 was and is the best, the later ones felt just like they're DLCs but just hella boring. AC series, never got into them, tho I have the first four ones, I guess it wouldn't hurt to give those a try..

Personally for me, Doom Eternal, FF VII remake and RE3 remake are the only games I'm absolutely gonna get in 2020, maybe Cyberpunk if it's worth of all that hype.

Dunno dude. I think they've pretty much nailed it with the 5.

This! It’s the Far Cry Formula perfected. New Dawn wasn’t terrible either despite that I felt it could have been sold as an old school “Expansion Pack” even though they did make the same map very different.

Felt just... boring. Played like 5 hours and it just didn't have that same feeling what FC3 has.

I guess I should play FCs from the first (I know, that's Crytek's game, still) to 5. Never have given FC2 a real chance either.

FC2 is nice but frustrating because enemies pretty much respawn at checkpoints as soon as you’re out of sight so travelling gets annoying.

Guess it's a matter of taste. I for example would enjoy a FarCry game even without the story. I like to wander around, hunting, crafting and killing badguys the sneakiest way possible without being detected. Story is just something to make that a bit more interesting.

That's exactly what I love in FC3. And of course the story IS pure gold there.

FC1 or go home. Rest are bug filled and boring after a while (obviously b/c exact same game reskinned).

Oh I can't wait:/

damn,I gotta try it out.
I was so fed up with fc4 that I didn't even want to see fc5.

Really? Compared to 3... I really couldn't get into 5. Even just the gameplay; the arsenal of weapons is godawfully limited; the world feels almost instanced in how it approaches each little area of bad guys; almost nothing happens in between areas and what does happen feels repetitive after an hour; the scenery is filled with endless fields of nothing, little in terms of height differences; even 4 did that a lot better, the world felt more mysterious and less generic than it did in 5.

And then there is the story and characters... 3 has all of it, except the protagonist perhaps though in a way it works. But Vaas versus those religious nutjobs? I think the former was far better in conveying madness. And as a result, it felt good burning those drug farms. In 5, I thought it'd feel pretty satisfying killing religious idiots... but really it didn't. It felt like some weird exercise of pointlessness. They have no fear, no real identity. Its hard to get into, for some reason, it almost feels wrong capping those distraught souls.
