Low voltages in speedfan, HELP!!!

Hi,
Just built myslef new machine and in BIOS on the 12v rail it says 12.00v and all other voltages are on or above normal. But when i boot into windows, speedfan says slightly less on all voltages ( only 0.05v to be expected) but the 12v reading is going down to 11.3v to 11.4 v? I don't understand, have tried mbm5 and that don't work as my mobo not in the config wizard, hmonitor has the same readings, and I can't get systool to work (something about failed to load driver) I have also tried taking out my additional hardrive and CD drive and the voltages have not move even 0.01v!!! Whats going on, anyone know a more accurate hardware monitor for an Asrock mobo?

11.3 actually sounds about right. the system draws more power even when idle than it does in bios.

So PSU not struggling then, which would be why taking stuff out hasn't made a difference?

Relax, my Speedfan reads out my 12v at 0.45v XD

If your worried about killing something through not having enough power, put your hand behind your PSU - if it's meltingly hot get a new one

Hi to random murderer, how did you manage to get a 4core bios on a 775 dualvsta? And what does achieve, just out of interest??

right. try running something really system intensive and then watching those rails really dip. run orthos for example.

i have speed fan and my 12v rail is saying 11.78v, i have put in 2 more hard drives, a floppy disc drive and overclocked my cpu and graphics core and it hasn't changed so i don't think it realy matters.

speed fan has'nt alway got the right readings if your +12v rail is that low i think you system would crash alot try PC Wizard 2007 its made by the some people as cpuz

Ok well, it don't seem to matter what tool i use they all read the same on the 12v rail, but it just wierd that swapping about with drives don't make a difference. Oh and about the PSU, I have a fan monitor for that and the fan is switched off so it obviously isnt under any strain. I can also comnfirm this by virtually no heat coming ut of the psu.
On another note, i have upgraded my 775dual-vsta bios to the latest one and since, my cpu fan has not stopped running at full speed!

Ok, under full load using intel thermal analysys tool, and overclocked from 1.8 to 2.4 ghz, speedfan reports a drop from 11.4v to 11.3v volts.
think I'll just used speedfan for the temp readings. As I say PSU does not seem to be under any strain.
