So I’ve just bought a new cpu heatsink from BeQuiet (Dark Rock 2) since I had enought of my stock cooler being loud like a Boeing engine (despite the fact the Wraith coolers are brilliant, I mean).
The cpu I have is AMD Ryzen 3700X.
While I unmounted the stock cooler, the cpu was stuck to the heatsink even though the socket lever was locked, which kinda frightened me firstly, but as I found out this happens time to time, I noticed that there were two pins bent on the cpu so I just straightened them using a thin blade.
After me separating the cpu from the stock cooler I put the cpu back and proceeded the whole process and set up the new cpu heatsink.
When I was finished I wanted to turn my PC on but as I pushed the Turn on button on the chasis, nothing happened.
I’m 100% sure there was power going to the computer and I didn’t do anything extraordinary during the swapping of the heatsinks.
Please, could anyone tell me what might be wrong with the cpu? Is there any chance of it working again or is it just definitely dead? Or is it the cpu, isn’t it anything else that is broken?
