So I bought this Ducky One 2 Blue LED Mechanical Keyboard with Cherry Brown switches about 11months ago and it has already got 1 LED light out which I thought was a bit quick! and something I should of asked many months ago was the Cherry MX Brown switches seem completely different from my MAX nighthawk keyboard that has the same switches, are there two different kinds of Cherry MX brown switches or something? as they dont feel the same at all! The MAX keyboard actually feels what a Cherry MX Brown switch is meant to feel like with a very slight clickyness to it but this ducky has no click what so ever. Also what are Duckys warranty when it comes to a dead LED less then a yr later? Im not really sure but I will ask the shop I bought it from and see what they say.

cheers

My roccat MK Pro keyboard is the same 0 click, how ever you can feel a little of the contact but that's it.

As for the LEDS swap them out or find a friend to do it for you, i got my keyboard at the time they were having that major issue with LEDS and after the warranty and none fully working keyboard Roccat basically told me F off so i swapped them out my self and still fully working years later.

Ducky support says to go back to the retailer first, and they have at least a one year warranty, did not find a specific time frame.
If the retailer bones ya, go through Ducky support.

As to the switches, browns should be tactile (bump), but the only noise should be from the switch bottoming out, not a traditional click like a blue or green switch would have. As to the MAX, maybe time wore them down a bit?

Oh, I also saw that Ducky would like a receipt for warranty claims, but if not, they will assign a date from when they made that batch of keyboards.

If I can remove the one that is dead and replace it then thats cool! I just have no idea with this keyboard if you can do that but I guesss you can?

I have contacted the seller (PCCG) and see what they say first

Well yes exactly I thought they had a tactile feel like my MAX nighthawk keyboard does and it hasnt changed how it feels over the past 5yrs or so I have used to I just thought it odd as this ducky brown switches feel totally different without any tactile feel at all! Thought it very odd!

I had a DKS2 that had almost all of the LEDs go out. I sent it out and they replaced all of them. Got the same board back. So they legit like /fixed/ it. Was one dude, using his yahoo email address lol. But it was legit. Took like 2 weeks though. Had to send it to L.A. iirc.

As Sneeky said it's a bump you feel and not a click, as for the leds it was just desolder and pull them out ( replaced them with amber color leds ) and did not even need to remove the switch in my case although my keyboards like (OMG) 7 years old now as i got it as soon as it was released.

If i knew that changing them and putting my own in would of saved me 60$ due to the 3 returns i went though.

So they might of changed now.

Just RMA it, changing a LED yourself would be risky if this is your first time. Ducky's after-sale service is pretty nice here in Taiwan, but I don't know about in other countries.
The switch problem really sounds weird, are you sure those are brown switches? It sounds more like red switches from your description. I've heard that the quality of the Cherry MX switches have been rather low recent years, but it shouldn't be that bad.
