Sonarworks, the company behind precision audio software used by Grammy-Award-winning engineers to record top artists like Lady Gaga, Madonna, Rihanna, Adele, Coldplay and Kanye West, announces its partnership with Gateway, the beloved cow-spotted PC brand, integrating its SoundID sound personalization technology into Gateway's new tablets. With SoundID enabled The Gateway 8" and Gateway 10" tablets, users can enhance their listening experience - at home or on-the-go - on some of the most popular music streaming services including Spotify, YouTube Music, Apple Music, and more.

"We're proud to partner with an iconic brand like Gateway to deliver a seamless experience of SoundID to its Gateway tablet customers," said Martins Popelis, Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer at Sonarworks. "SoundID enabled Gateway tablets deliver premium sound tailored for each individual with no extra costs. We at Sonarworks believe sound can be enjoyed to the max irrespective of how, when or where you listen. And we're excited Gateway has joined us on this mission."

SoundID unlocks the full potential sound of your tablet while listening through your wireless or wired headphones. Tablet users will be able to pair their favorite headphones, choosing from one of SoundID's over 406 supported models. SoundID moves away from the traditional one-size-fits-all approach in audio quality, to personalizing sound for everyone as an individual. SoundID is your individual sound profile that is as unique as your fingerprint but more advanced in that it uses smart algorithms and machine learning to evolve with you over time. Your profile can be set up for free in minutes and used directly on your SoundID enabled Gateway tablet. With a simple app test to identify your SoundID -- based on your headphones, your unique hearing ability and your listening preferences -- it offers an unmatched level of personalization.

The Gateway tablets combine style, performance, and value with a fresh, clever design that embodies today's aesthetic. Lightweight and high powered, Gateway's SoundID enabled tablets are the perfect on-the-go companion for remote workers or casual listeners and streamers, who can now enjoy personalized sound anywhere life takes them. With SoundID's unprecedented audio clarity now available on Gateway tablets, these affordable devices offer an incredible value to the listener as early research shows that with SoundID personalization, over 80% of blind test participants preferred their personalized sound over the sound of their headphones without SoundID technology. Both tablets come with the user-friendly Android 10 (Go) OS and are packed with 32 GB storage and an expandable SD slot, 2MP front camera, 5MP rear camera and come in a variety of colors.

SoundID can be downloaded through the Gateway tablet's Google Play Store. The tablets are available in 8" and 10" sizes and sold exclusively on Walmart.com for $69.99 and $79.99, respectively. For more information, visit http://sound.id/gateway.

SoundID continues to focus on the evolution of personal sound, and the Gateway tablet sound integration is a major first step forward in bringing SoundID to listeners anywhere life takes them. Soon SoundID will expand to mobile devices, across streaming, social or music database platforms, and additional devices like portable Bluetooth speakers, ensuring a consistent personalized sound experience wherever you go.

When's the last time you saw a press release not try to be an ad? It's all marketing at the end of the day. We have covered Sonarworks and SoundID in the past here in more detail.

The amount of correction used on music is amazing really, auto-tune is everywhere from a messed up old guy's voice to pop artists and even Twitch singers. Pitch correct in musical instruments, etc. All over the place.

Nowadays I pretty much only get impressed by Soundcloud recordings I find after 15 minutes of random digging or Joe's coverband at the nighttime bar at glorious 360p. Both of which never seem to exceed 10's to couple 100's of views.

You did such a good job presenting this "news", you should actually ask for money from SoundID/Gateway.... I'm sure they'll have plenty lurking around with all the sales of top quality hardware they've been making recently.

Another filler news post at best and free(?) advertising at worst.

I make music but not vocals (Just me and my DAW - bitwig) . I prefer instrumental electronica only.... most lyrics are dumb and boring anyways.

Yeah I actually listen to a lot of songs melody-only, karaoke backing tracks with just the instrumental and without vocals. Hehe.
