Apparently the new 11th gen Intel chips, the same ones that reviewers are calling a waste of sand, are decimating everything else on these benchmark charts.

Is this a sophisticated joke? I checked the calendar and April 1st hasn't arrived yet.

im with you.
this benchmark is and was a joke

hmm I don't know I think it could be possible that Intel 11th Gen is just that good.

yes; everything about user benchmark is ridiculous.

my dad used to use userbenchmark, he was born in 1938
its like the wikipedia of bench results:laugh:

Well, its not about how old it is.
Its about the ridiculousness and the BS of it. Its so great that not even Intel shills use it to demonstrate Intel CPU performance.
Its really a wonder how its still exists.

But then again...

This is not towards the OP by any means.

Fastest average effective speed CPU.

That's a lot to unpack.

Fastest, Ok, at what?

Average.... Effective umm, double the action pleasure of average and make it effective.

Speed.... Of what... FLOPS, Ghz, time in boost state for a single core, all cores, 2 cores, less than 200W, without thermal throttle, under LN2.

How about fastest at gaming, or fastest at decompression, or fastest at rendering, or lowest latency, or maximum time before thermal throttle with a stock cooler in a actual case, or lowest power consumption, or highest speed 8 core, or something tangeable.

Only a couple of more days to go until the NDA is lifted and the real 11700K / 11900K benchmarks can begin.
Until then, here is a quick userbenchmark of a 10850K for meaningless comparison purposes.
Where I live, a new 11900K is almost 50% more expensive compared to a new 10850K. Faster single core and slower multi core is not that exciting.

wikipidea is reliable its checked by professors and train profetinals it soures reliable website
if i go and make a dumb change chances are it will be gone within 24 hrs

this is getting better and better.
i love tpu

Userbenchmarks is about as useful as a one legged man in an arse kicking contest.... It will make you feel pretty good about your quad core intel cpu or your 6 core/6 thread varient but that's about it.

Intel once again shows the world that they are just "unbeatable"

this sort of thing may turn around and bite intel in the ass. i think people are catching on to user benchmark as favoring intel cpus. doesnt really look good if it seems intel is paying or possibly bribing them to say such crap. dont know if either is true, just thinking aloud.

tbh. steve used a retail one with the same old beta bioses from january.

there are many different sources showing that a Rocket Lake CPU performs MUCH worse on these beta support bioses (Z490 and Z590)
they even reported from memory speed and latency improvements by up to 30% just with a bios update.

he should make a new benchmark video when the final bios versions are available. (makes no sense that a 10700k beats a 11700k in games.)

If this is the kind of difference thats called 'decimating', its not just a waste of sand, its a waste of pixels on my screen.

11700kf is locked is a bullshit.
l3 prefixes are lagging sad
