Is it possible to repair the motherboard?

Hello,
after the end of the warranty of my PC, when I turned it on, something flashed inside. I opened it and found that a small part on the motherboard has burned out.
I have just the same second PC, so I can attach the photos of damaged and undamaged area.

Would it be possible to repair? Lenovo motherboards are pretty expensive...

What spec is the motherboard? LGA???
Or PC model number, etc.

Lenovo 01lm348
And CPU is Ryzen 5 2400g
I can see them here on eBay UK and you're right, they're not cheap. £118 here used.
Can't say for sure that your mobo is fixable as there might be multipe problems that caused the burnout in the first place.
You have to ask yourself can you get a replacement fuse for the blown one?, and are you confident you can solder?

You know you can probably get a good used B450 board for half the price of the Lenovo board.

Today pcb is multi layer, so if it's bad it's gone

Thanks, but are they compatible? Fits B450 in the Lenovo case?

Yes, I was already replied on one forum, that it seems to be a SDM component broken, but if the layers are damaged, it is hard to repair...

I have no idea of the boards dimensions because they aren't advertised.
What model is the PC? That'll give me an idea of what can fit and what can't.

Lenovo Ideacentre 510A-15ARR

And I will need also probably to replace the PSU, because they have a weird 10-pin connector instead of 24-pin on Lenovo MB.

Yes, that is why I would like to know if it is possible to repair...
It's hard to tell because there might be multipe component failure that caused the fuse to blow in the first place.
A PC repair shop that can at least diagnose the problems is the only way of knowing. Sorry.

So, you think this was a fuse to burn out? I was told a SDM component (have no idea what is it)? Is it hard to replace the fuse for a specialist? How much can it costs?

Looks that way. But without a motherboard schematic It's difficult to say what the component does.
You're better off visiting someone or a shop who can help you. I have no idea how much the repair would cost.

Well looks like 2 have exploded, that dam solder melted so bad it joined with the next one. Looks like a few layers have been effected too, and maybe that part across from them might be too.

Maybe clean it up some see if it looks any better, but looks like 3 layers effected, no way to know if that's taken other traces out with it but it don't look good.

Out of warranty ?.

New case new mobo, although with a new mobo you will have to buy windows again.

Thanks. Do you think, that a schematic is available for a specialist? I wouldn't be surprised, if no,, it is natural for Lenovo...

Good, I will clean it and make a new photo...

I doubt that Vlad. Many maufacturers will keep these schematics locked away. A good repair shop and someone who can diagnose the fault is the best way to go.
But I am surprised the board had ended up this way as it's not that old.

Hell knows what's gone wrong. That's why I suggested Vlad seek help help from a person who knows what they are looking at.

Well, I probably need to tell more. The PC did not start up, so I disconnected a front panel with the on/off button, pressed the button (it didn't work) and than touched the cables NEAR the button. Exactly after that all happened. I was shocked, if it is a graphic card, but it was a motherboard. I don't know - what is worse...

Here is a new, more clean photo.

Ouch. I had a feeling you may have tinkered but didn't want to speculate.
It may be repairable but please don't take my word for it.

be safer just getting a cheap case and replacement board, unless you can get a repair shop to look at it for free.

Risk would be frying some thing else in the PC too, Aint worth it

Thanks, I also have a feeling that the MB is not dead completely, and of course I will not take your word... :)

We have a small town, but I will try to find a shop with a free look, thanks...

Good luck Vlad. Please come back and let us know if you can get the board repaired.
Yes, I will. By the way, as I know, it comes maximum 12 Volts from PSU on the motherboard - how could it happen, that it is like 220 volts fuse to burn out?
