Think some of the AI features are in the MS store but I imagine MS will indeed add the AI stuff bing/ office/.. in a important update for good measure

I haven't gutted edge out yet but if bing ai crap shows up it's burnt toast

Some of us will never see it then. Some people never use Bing or Office. So yeah, easily avoided.

I can't disable same services as Wn10 in Win11, it boots but i have to CTRL+ALT+DEL to reboot in safemode since it doesn't shows interface and flickers screen instead, list is huge, Win10 works great with all that disabled, also disabling EventLog kills explorer (only MyPC, no subdir will open) :

The reason you're having problems is that you're disabling services that don't need to be, services that Windows 11 needs to function. It a grand effort you've got there, you just took it too far.

OKay, from W1zzard scripts i noted down things, but i already did 99% of what i found and want there...

... btw this morning in explorer i deleted a folder and using previous/next folder navigation it reminded me win10 instead keep silent when a directory/folder from "history" in not present anymore popups a annoying window that has to manually be closed, i'll search how to skip that behavior.

Win10 works well, i can switch all services ON back and OFF too by a simple reg file, it's fast, play games doesn't needs any of those services active, right !?

PS: and it's interesting to find service disabled in Win10 working and if so in Win11 it has a glitch, and not a little.

Not completely true on either point. Disabling things that are not needed or desired is perfectly fine as long as the user understands that they loose the functionality that service provides. Updates don't always bring them back and frequently leave user settings/registry entries unchanged.

You make a valid point were novices are concerned. Users who don't understand what they're doing should not go rooting around in the registry. However, for anyone who does have that level of expertise and/or is willing to accept the results of changes that might cause issues, there is nothing wrong with tweaking and making changes to suit their needs.

Windows 10 and Windows 11 have similarities, but there are enough changes that many tweaks and configuration methods don't work or do not work the same way.

I didn't read it that way, but I can see how the meaning of what they said could be taken in such a way(based on grammar and sentence structure, my guess is that English is not their primary language).

To be fair, they came in and posted what they had done and showed their work while stating they had problems and were confused why it all wasn't working as well in 11 as it was in 10. I answered and they asked for more detailed info. Such an answer is VERY involved. This user seems to want to learn the differences and I am ok taking that challenge on, just have to make time. Such information will be useful not just to them but to anyone wanting to make tweaks and config changes to their setup of 11.

I did a fresh install of Windows 11 with a user account using Rufus on a seperate drive, leaving my Windows 10 install untouched.. This was the most low fuss easiest windows installs I have ever done. It didn't take long to find the settings within windows to make it look and act more like a traditional windows desktop. I don't know if it is pseudo effect or a side effect of a fresh install but it felt far snappier than my Windows 10 install does, even after set up. Firefox seems to load faster. It is probably not a measurable difference but I perceive it to be faster at least.

No it's not you. The Windows 11 install and out-of-box-experience is very much a smooth and refined process. It's just got all the bloat and BS that needs roping in and removal.

any fresh install fells snappier, it was has been like that... it also makes sense in every way
