Armored Core by From Software is finally a new mech shooter title. You get to customize your robot to take on the tough bosses and their complex mechanics. In our performance review, we're taking a closer look at image quality, VRAM usage, and performance on a wide selection of modern graphics cards.

A new game that runs well on a 3050 at 1080p. This is what I like to see! :)

Only problem is it looks like a ps3 game in certain area....

Too bad you didn't do a HDR vs SDR comparison. It would have been interesting to see what kind of performance hit HDR incurs these days.

The game looks fine and play great. It also doesn't have shitty monetization, that makes it better than half the shit that's coming out these days.

I heard but i didn't personally tested that depht of field does take away crispyness . I didn't take it off but only lowered it to medium , same for SAO . I have the game running at 4k everything else maxed out no AA because is useless at 4k and to me looks great . I have a 1080ti.

The game's environment is pretty ugly, IMO.
It is a fun game though.

I'll take fun over pretty environments any day.

I was going to say the game in general seems pretty good if I didn't already have a ton of games in my backlog I'd be picking it up.

Same here. Couldn't find time to finish a game in years...

A game that is optimized since the beginning... Hard to see these days.

Kudos to the team...

Nowadays they just pour their hopes in DLSS/FSR to shoot a game thru the sales door...

I (almost) always finish the games I've started... but it takes me months.

I'm the type that tries to do all the side quests or otherwise explore all the content in a game. When I only get a few hours here and there, it becomes impossible to keep track of where I left and what I was planning to do next.
I get my fix from stupid, grindy, mobile games these days :(

I do all the side quests, too, but if I get hooked on the atmosphere of a game, I find it near impossible to start another one. When I finally finish it, I'm usually left with a void that no other game can fill. :ohwell:
Mobile games are a different story. They'll never do it for me (I hate touchscreens). The only exception being Motorsport Manager 3.

Can you share how you unlocked the frames?Τy.

Did i just witness a FromSoft PC game that isnt naively locked to 60fps? Are my eyes deceiving me?
Yes and it seems Capcom has also learned that lesson.

But meh, it's locked at 120 now, even though there is no technical reason to lock it

why we cant see a Medium quality numbers? looks like 40% improvement in the 4080 quality compare images so the 3050 can achieve 80+fps in medium at 1080p
why the graphics are labeled like "very high" and there is not option in the game with "very high" settings only

  • There is no support for NVIDIA DLSS, AMD FSR or Intel XeSS
  • The quality settings can be selected from "Low," "Medium," "High," "Maximum" and "Custom"

Dark Souls Remastered has a 144fps option and unlimited from what I remember.

AC6 looks fine to me and plays great.

it does not, Dark Souls Remastered is still capped at 60 fps.

edit: for some reason it will let you change to your max monitor refresh rate in settings, but actual in game gameplay is still capped at 60 fps... cause these devs make no sense sometimes.

It's not really optimization, it's just low geometry and texture work in the environment. There's not a lot of work for a GPU to do.

Staying in the tractable region of the problem is a kind of optimization. It's the hardest kind of optimization actually, since it requires common sense.
