AIO mounting contact is incredibly light weight compared to a big air cooler. And I’ve never had pin issues. Ever. In 20 years.
There are plenty of AIO/water accounts of the issue. Without contact frame, the next best bet is to have a gigantic metal backplate like some cooler manufacturers/waterblock companies use. I recall seeing lots of skimpy AIO bundled backplates.
And in case you haven't noticed, contact frame is also a new thing because there hasn't been a socket shaped like and ILM structurally weak as LGA1700 in 20 years............
Why must you be so combative? You asked for thoughts on a new build, and [some] people are putting in their 2c to help you out
