EVGA has kept a very low profile over the past two years—according to TPU's news section, the company last introduced new power supply products around August 2023. Last July, we heard about extreme overclocker KINGPIN's transition to PNY, and the emergence of an EVGA-designed AMD X670E chipset prototype motherboard. The summer 2023 news cycle generated further rumors about EVGA's motherboard endeavors having ended. Alleged disagreements with Team Green prompted the company—as a board partner—to shutter its NVIDIA GeForce graphics card business in 2022. Late last night, the American computer hardware manufacturer made a surprising "out of the blue" announcement, via its official discussion board—as spotted by VideoCardz.

Unfortunately, EVGA's latest bulletin signals the end of community activity on its popular forum—a statement reads as follows: "responding to the feedback from our valued customers and in light of Reddit's widespread popularity, EVGA would like to encourage its community to transition to Reddit. As of this announcement, our existing forums will be read only and our team will actively engage with customers on Reddit threads moving forward. EVGA and our Moderators would like to thank all its forum members for the years of posts bringing together a great community of PC Enthusiast, and we hope to continue this community at its new home on Reddit." EVGA recommends that its members "head over" to the almost decade old TEAMEVGA subreddit. A nice welcome message greeted new arrivals: "I know a lot of you will miss the forums, but I would like to point out that many PC companies stopped using forums and switched to Reddit and/or Discord. Mods are still here to help you."

I am sure someone will still pipe in with a “EVGA isn’t REALLY dead yet, guys, they might still make it” take.

How many of their overpriced cards do they need to sell to afford running a forum? Like, 2 a year?

Kingpin didn't defect to PNY.

So are they going out of business or what? How can you stay in business when you don't make anything?

Yay REddit. Wrote a few posts on gentoo. Got now a negative score of -60. You are not allowed to post.

I can not ask for my Huwaii Smartwatch for example. I'm not allowed to create any posts on reddit

I created that reddit account a few months ago. This was next on my list to check out after tik tok. I was checking out those "fabulous" pages what they do and such.

Wait until you start getting permanently banned from subs if you dare saying something that’s different of what the hive mind wrote.

Or the false reports from others being concerned about you because you are at risk of committing suicide.

Reddit is like just throwing crap at the wall. There's no organization and posts just get ignored/lost down the one wall of shite. It has been clear this day would come (and that they'll just continue shutting things down one piece at a time), but it's still sad to see.

That move suggests EVGA will be out of business.

EVGA closing the forums seems like a step closer to going out of business, it's sad to see it happen but not too surprising.
Another victim of Ngreedia.

Someone should read the tale of The Scorpion and The Frog to Mediatek...

But the leather jacket followers will say it's all EVGA's fault, even though it's obvious Nvidia has been screwing the AIB's since the RTX 20 series.
Many OEM's have gotten burned and learned their lesson with Nvidia, Mediatek must be getting a really good deal with their partnership.

Given them time....they will get the stinger...lol

The one that seems to be getting away with their partnership is nintendo, but as they say, it takes evil to understand evil, so they walk around the Ngreedia stinger with a vibranium armor or something like that lol

Considering that their remaining business was power supplies and not many of them are in stock from actual vendors, I figured something like this was coming soon.

I'm going to download all the drivers I need for their hardware that I own tonight.

Oh even earlier than that. As soon as NVIDIA tried pushing FE cards that's when they started trying to screw over AIB partners. I would say as early as GTX 10 Series arguably

I had a feeling that EVGA would be going out of business.. its sad. I was really hoping they would break out in some other place but I guess not.

US pricing was generally competitive in my experience, and that's where the lion's share of their market was. I understand their pricing was much less favorable elsewhere in the world.

I was about to say the amount of dunking on EVGA happening around here is weird, but it feels like the negativity level has been on the upswing of late, so maybe I shouldn't be surprised.

What a bummer.... I've owned alot of their PSU's & GPU's in the past and never, ever, had a single problem with any of them, even after some post-warranty tinkering & modding here & there, and my son still has one of their PSU's in his back-up rig that was purchased over 7 years ago & still running just fine :D

There's free forum hosting options and some that are only 10 bucks a month

Never had a problem with EVGA. My 10 year old EVGA FTW 980TI's in SLI are still running strong with a modest overclock. Been using the computer daily for gaming and work. And, my 8 year old 1,000 Watt EVGA G3 power supply is still going strong... That's all I got from them but never had a problem with their product. I HAVE had other PSU's burn up before or cause instability... In that time I've been through 3 different motherboard due to various issues/upgrading. It's become a game for me now to see how long it will last. I want to start gaming more on my computer just to see if I can break something. Actually, a couple weeks ago I intentionally threw my computer off my desk and everything still works. The case broke apart and all the panels and filters broke off, but, the frame is still square and it still runs perfectly...:kookoo:

My last ngreedia gpu was a evga 970 and its still working. Well, i assume if i place it in a system it will work and was moderately priced.

Well, they did the “mistake” of speaking the truth about the pleasure of working with ngreedia and the white knights can’t forgive that.

A shame, they had good build quality and i heard their customer service was top notch.
