TECHPOWERUP HWBOT Contest with Cash Prizes

On the note of editing things into the same post, can I link a gdrive sheet instead I think it will be a lot cleaner and i'm using one now to keep track of what I ran on which system
absolutely

Odd question, I have a press license of pcmark 10 am I allowed to use this for these benchmarks?

Yes, you're all good. Can run and submit all three pcmark10 suites. :)

If the key turns the lock, then we have ignition :rockout:

Or something like that :pimp:

Support TPU!!!

What would escalate interest?

Fun story, be careful with the "HWBOT X265 BENCHMARK" It was fine on my desktop but turned my laptop into a brick(reloaded windows things are fine) not sure why but it made for a rough day

Oof. Was it an older laptop?

Nope, relatively new Thinkpad P1 Gen6 (13700H) the tweak was fine on my desktop (dual e5-2667 v2) but i'm guessing something with the p+e cores or a bios setting on the p1 was not happy about the suggested bcdedit for hpet(which is weird that benchmate says hpet is on but the x265 test needs a setting changed) I even tried it after the clean install and that didn't bsod it just turned the system to mud

Creating your own IT work, during working hours too I bet

Guys, I need some help.

I am trying to make submissions on my main rig for Geekbench 3 and Geekbench 4. For whatever reason, they are submitting but do not have the required green "valid" mark, which is required for HWBOT. I am using Firefox and have all of my extensions on their page turned off, but for some reason they do not show the valid mark. Does anyone know what to do to fix this? Geekbench5 and 6 worked and showed the mark no problems, but 3 and 4 don't. Please help.

I don't think gb3/4 do that in the browser only the paid offline version, use this submission as an example that hasn't been taken down

Excellent. Thanks buddy. I will do them tomorrow then.

@damric can you wait to do an update until tomorrow afternoon or so? I am still doing 3D benches on my 5700G. I am done with the CPU side, but am doing graphics benches now.

I have a question about hardware and unique submissions, I recently purchased a lot of Dell precision workstations one of which is going to replace my existing desktop obviously the workstations as they are would be a fully unique system with their fire prographics cards but I'm planning on moving by existing GPU from my desktop to one of the workstations, this would be a GPU that I've already tested but in combination with a new pair of CPUs and different memory would tests that run against the graphics card at that point be counted as duplicate submissions or unique submissions and since two of the workstations that I purchased have the same CPUs although I plan on testing one with the fire grow and one with my existing GPU with the tests count as the same system or would they be separate systems because they are physically distinct systems, not really a big deal either way I just wanted to make sure to ask the question before I wasted time potentially duplicating any effort

The dedicated GPU you can run all benchmarks 1 time each. If you increase the score on any 1 benchmark, it's still counts as 1 submission.

Same goes for any 1 CPU part number.

If all the workstations have the same cpu, then you only submit the benchmarks on that cpu and that's it. If they all have different processors installed, then run them all.

That's fair, the two i'm keeping are both the same cpu set so i'll just bench one with the gpu they shipped with then put my actual card in it

Getting this:

It's a RIVE with a 3970x and one DIMM for $110, however given that it's quad channel we also ordered a kit of four matching G.skill Snipers 1866MHz that @damric found me($32) he claims they are Samsung Wonder RAM ICs, there was some discussion of that being true or not on the EHW Discord, but Thaiphoon Burner will tell me once I have everything.

The seller showed pics of it on and in the BIOS, let's hope the board functions normally in Windows as well.

Back in 2012, I had a FX-8350 and it was great to mess around with and OC and bench but even after I got a 4790k setup, I still wanted this motherboard and chip really badly. Mobo was like $500 and chip was like $750 and that's in 2012 dollars. I think my current X670E-E and 9950x in my main rig were actually cheaper!

Too bad it's not the RIVE Black Edition but oh well, if it works fine it's a steal.

I was so excited to start benching my latest acquisition thinking it was going to be some easy golds come to find out I'm at least the 4th person with that idea https://hwbot.org/submission/5781915_

Can we maybe get another article(or a bump of the original one) to drum up some more competition?

Nice find! Put Windows 7 on it (lite version if you can) do your OS tweaks and run it again.

Yeah I can probably do that, does 7 turn in that much better results? I honestly figured I was limited by the (lack) of cooling and use of sodimms more than anything.

XP even....
Yeah probably all of that. Not so much on the memory. Just need better sticks. 800 8-8-8 would probably help. Cooling, thats on you, should be no problemo :)

NVM, I can find anything tighter than CL11 800mt/s.
