I suspect my gpu has been used for mining, because my only way to enter the bios of my computer is to go to csm mode, once i go to UEFI i cannot in any way (apart from using csm as a boot option) go to bios, also sometimes the fans of my gpu go crazy (and i mean like 3000rpm) even if the gpu is on idle, is there any way i can fix this? i suspect it has a modded vbios, the switch on the gpu is set on the right side so not on the i/o panel side, thanks in advance for the help

Can you share the screenshot of GPU-Z of both switch positions?

did u switch the switch to change bios on it? see if the past owner left bios on 1 side and mining on the other?

i didn't change any bios on it, how do i check if there's a mining bios?

UPDATE: So what i noticed is if i have the switch on the left side, i cannot in any way change the boot option to uefi because it's gonna change to CSM always and it's gonna give me the "There is no GOP support detected in this gpu", but with the switch on the right i can change it to UEFI, at the cost that i cannot go into the bios unless i have CSM as a boot option. I'm going crazy, help me

If it is a mining bios, it will have strange clocks. Also drivers cannot be installed if it is done by a modder since the bios signature is fucked up.

Can you also share advanced tab with the memory support. Hynix support comes in two variants for this card. H5GC8H24AJR & H5GQ8H24MJR.
We need to find out what is on your card otherwise we can't advice the bios with correct memory support.

Can i be helped in Discord or something like that? I don't wanna screw everything up ;(
Make sure both bioses are working properly.

If you screw up your system:
  1. Power off the system
  2. Change the bios switch
  3. Power on and boot into Windows.
  4. Before you flash the graphics card, you change the bios switch back to the position before you powered on the system!!
  5. Flash the graphics card again.

So long you have one working bios, you shouldn't be afraid to brick your card.
