I experiment with my graphic card setup to use with my retro E3-1280 v3 CPU for 2D/3D applications – so far Quadro K2200, M4000, P4000, M5000… seems like I stick with M4000 or M5000 for a while as I don't see much benefit using P4000 in Adobe Creative apps apart from less voltage usage…

It was just sitting there on a UK PC parts-pusher's website looking lonely...

Should be better than this Kioxia Exceria Plus G3 currently installed in this here laptop.

I'll either still be in hong kong when it arrives or with luck it will arrive after ive returned before the 15th of May. Can never tell with these things.

I'll slap the Exceria in an enclosure to use as an external drive.

Grieving period for the loss of Superflower version of this SATA powered fan adapter to unknown events incurred during shipping has ended.

Tesla M40 GPU off eBay. Wanted to see if I could game on a GPU with no video output ports. Performance is nothing to write home about, not even as good as my Maxwell Titan X, but mission accomplished.

Hell if i know. But there was a high street retailer/retail chain that was selling it at that price and I think Amazon price matched. Maybe they were just trying to clear some stock.

well, as you obviously might know. Everything is overpriced in India.
Kioxia might be an option for you they provide 2tb gen4 nvme for 11-12k.
I recently discovered this brand and it's a toshiba's subsidiary.
Pretty well known and reputable too, heard Linus mentioning it in his last video.

big brands are NOT overpriced in india by any means. Thats just a myth. Things which are imported specifically by small distributors are overpriced because of scalping.

you can buy an iphone or s series samsung for almost the same price as outside. tariffs are applicable only on imported goods, not on stuff already made here.

Decided to put a whole new PC together for the 5090 I mentioned earlier:-

  • NZXT 1200W PSU
  • NZXT Kraken 360 cooler
  • Gigabyte X870E Aorus Pro Ice motherboard
  • Ryzen 9 9950X3D
  • 64GB DDR5-6000 memory *
  • WD Black 2TB SSD *
* - Already had / transferring from old PC

Why? The event I was basing this year's vacation around has gone virtual for 2025, so this is my plane fare & hotel moneys.

Bought an old (retro) game.

i thought scalping was only a thing with GPUs.

So made in India? (assembling products here) is actually helping the pricing? i thought it had no effect, especially when i last heard iphone prices were unchanged.

-PSP E1004
-iPhone 8 (backup phone/mp3 player)
-Panasonic PT-AE2000E projector

Watercooling gear:
-Swiftech reservoir
-EK X-TOP SPC60 pump+cover
-3m of black 13/10mm tubing
-5l of distilled water
-Alphacool flow indicator

-Phobya Touch 6 fan controller
-Phobya HeGrease Extreme TIM

Just bit the bullet! Cant wait. After over a year and a half slowly buying parts for my new rig, it all boiled down to this:

iphone and other flagships used to be a lot more expensive before. Why do you think they are so common these days.

for example. S25 costs 90k in indian rupees in UK. Same thing costs 75K in indian rupees here. Infact its cheaper here (mostly because no free galaxy earbuds).

I got my s22 at 85K

Thermalright Peerless Assassin 140 White, quite a bit bigger than 120
