NVIDIA has just rolled out GeForce Hotfix Driver 576.26, an essential update for RTX 50 series graphics cards that fixes an array of game crashes, display oddities, and performance quirks that have been cropping up lately. If you've been getting random crashes in Black Myth: Wukong when the hero transforms or freezes in Horizon Forbidden West after loading a save, those problems are gone. DisplayPort 2.1 users will no longer see blank screens on those new LG monitors running HDR and you won't get that annoying flicker at high refresh rates, and if your multi-monitor setup was showing a grey-screen crash, that too should be fixed. Forza Horizon 5 fans can put nighttime light flickers behind them, and Forza Motorsport tracks will stay intact whether you're racing at night or running benchmarks.

Red Dead Redemption 2 now starts smoothly in DX12 mode, and you should see Dead Island 2 run OK again after updating past game-ready driver 576.02. Resident Evil 4 Remake's background textures will stop flickering, and the fixes from the previous 576.15 hotfix are included here too, so shadow corruption, Lumion 2024 crashes, missing GPU temperature reports after sleep, shader compile crashes, notebook standby black screens, SteamVR micro-stutters and low idle clock speeds have all been addressed. In a true tone of hotfix, the driver is quickly patching out weird game quirks after they were established as bugs on a wide range of user machines.

Nvidia is seriously back to amateur hour after 5000-series launch again, wonder how long it'll take them to fix the drivers properly this time. Pathetic :shadedshu:

They really shifted focus to fully support B200 installations in datacenters. I guess there are like three guys supporting gaming in the whole company.

Since the last Driver-Releases i get random Bluescreens in W11 and Windows Log says its from the Driver with failed Power State Changing.

Its a 3060 12GB. This Release seams only fixing issues with Blackwell. And the 3060 is still produced with 12GB. 300€ for this Card.

And the Drivers get worse from Release to Release. Nvidia?

Probably using AI for hardware and driver changes in Blackwell and it's not working as expected.

Still not fix for black screens and BSODS?

I wouldn't touch it with a ten-foot pole. Last revisions were far from stable, so thanks but no thanks.

Rember me radeon black screen with 5700
NVIDIA best drivers ahahahah

Ok but what about the performance decrease since the 576.xx release on 40 series. Has it been corrected? I don't see any mention of it.

This is a psyop to make you believe the Blackwell series is actually a new architecture, and not just a Lovelace respin with some fuses not popped and some extra enabled cuda cores and rops.

rops are the same quantity, they just threw more juice at it with 600 Watts, brute forced performance

Even my 4070 Ti has sporadic black screens during a cold boot, i think it's that stupid power design in combination with the 12-Pin.

Never had that issue when i still owned my 1070 with regular 8-Pin, and the rest of the hardware stayed the same.

Yeah, after 15 years of NVIDIA i've made a full 180 for my future upgrade.

I just installed it on 4090 mobile and so far good. I will do more tests.

Everything OK on my 4070 Ti Super

What a Joke, So HDR does now work , but what good does it do if the monitor will not wake from standby while on DP2.1 (45GX950A) DP1.4 works but that's not what I paid for, only a full power cycle brings it back.
It does really seem like amateur hour is happening at nVidia.

On 4090 mobile HDR works

Hello all,

On top of the Nvidia driver issues we now have an update that has totally destroyed the experience of Black Myth Wukong. Extreme Shader Compilation Stutter, screen flickering, 3-4 second freezes, crashes, audio drops and worse graphic fidelity. This game has been uninstalled, reinstalled, verified files, driver changes after executing DDU, running default clocks on ram, CPU, GPU and finally making sure all temps are cool.

Nvidia Driver 576.26 did not fix this game. Previous drivers are no better because I've tried them. I have 4 Nvme drives and all are fine while running at their full speeds. Other large file AAA games that are not affected by Nvidia's drivers are running well.

Zotac Amp Extreme Infinity 5090
Ryzen 9950X3D
Gskill Trident Z DDR5 6400 mhz
Asus X670E-A Motherboard
Seasonic 1600 Watt Prime PX

Game settings are all Cinematic at 4k resolution with Framegen on 2X.

The game was running well before the latest update that included Multi Frame Generation.

I even downloaded and tried to play the previous version of Wukong from Steam DB. That didn't work at all because the game will not boot up. I'm about ready to throw in the towel.

Can other 5090 and 5000 series users please report your recent experiences with Black Myth Wukong? If you can it's much appreciated and thanks.

You should not be playing terribly optimized PoS Wukong at first place. But still:

It's a total disaster:

Users are posting like 4-5 new posts per hour regarding driver issues. Some say the new hotfix is gonna be released this week.

C:\Users\ ur windows id \AppData\Local\b1\Saved

maybe delete that xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.ushaderpreache file
and see if that reset it

I would've never thought to delete the whole folder due to completely uninstalling and reinstalling the game several times.

All in favor of renaming NVIDIA's GPU cards to 'HTFX' instead of "GTX" or "RTX" with how many hotfixes they gotta do that still doesn't fix all the problems? lol.

So quick after the fix? I doubt we have all things sort out with this one.

Strange isn't it? They might have just as well waited, the hotfix, was what, yesterday? lol

Anyways, so far I am happy to report, things feel smoother, less stutter, MFG actually feels usable, I used to HATE the damn tech, felt bad, and I mean really bad, now, it's actually usable to me.

It was a problem, when you had G-Sync + V-Sync + MFG enabled, the input lag/latency was crap, I wonder if any others will have the same luck? I will monitor on the nGreedia site (Phew!, close one, I almost called them by their real name)

All my sensors report correctly, my fan curve works, some game glitches I had are gone (Except for The Tomb Raider series, buggy games) Rise of the Tomb raider, if you enable Tessellation, you can see through the skin meshes sometimes, As for Shadows, if you walk near smoking barrel, you get this (Yet to try it with the new driver)

(*Edit*) seems Ray Traced shadows only activate after a restart, which causes the below

Anyways still got to test some stuff, Metro EE is another one, where if RTX reflections are not on Hybrid, some reflections on water will be greenish while being a bit pixelated. No, it's not radioactive water. :p

HL2 RTX looks great, damn, just look at that frametime graph <3
