What's your latest tech purchase?

my AC got installed and cooling is excellent, can sustain upto 52c of temp, anti dust filter.
at 24c with lowest fan speed it was pretty chill so i increased the temp to 28c and it's still decent
and i am not even having my fans turned on, this is quite fascinating considering it is cheaper than competition too

AC tech came a long way and became quite affordable. Just make sure to clean/change filters when it's due. In a climate like yours (hot & humid, also dusty) they will get dirty soon enough.

Make sure the condensate drain is kept clean, as well. They tend to get clogged (assuming it is the flexible hose type).

I forgot to show this here for the RAM I ordered.

CPU cooler upgrade. I've wanted this Corsair A115 for a while but my Thermalright 90mm was serving me well. Finally decided to make the switch when I saw the A115 on resale (literally as good as new, whoever had it before opened the Intel pack so must've tried to test the fit and returned)

One thing I'll say is the margins for this thing to fit in here were ridiculously small. I had to place the intake fan in the middle just because placing it to the right was squashing my 24-pin and it did not look good for my PC's health. I never want to build SFF if this is what it's like.

I don't plan to do anything else with my PC so it should stay this way for a while anyways.

My old phone screen ripped from the housing this morning when it fall down the bed. Weird, but the screen did spread apart last year but I applied the right glue around it. It's due for replacement anyway, its been 3 years or so.

I spend a bit and got this, I hope it will last. Last time I got Xperia phone was Z3 Compact many years ago. I still love Sony, they got heavy discount so I take it. Its bare though only comes with the phone and nothing else, no charger no cable, nothing. But I already read the reviews so I anticipate it

that's alot of high precision work, i would stay away. Apparently there was lots of rain 2 days ago and ever since i haven't used my AC as weather has cooled down a bit. BTW, mine isn't a mini split, it's a normal split ac with exhaust, they installed it after i took the pic.

Anyway, i bought a new cheap mouse for spare pc i assembled few days ago in Corsair Carbide 275R, i am not planning to sell it yet because the case is pretty decent, especially in terms of airflow, so might use the spare pc as my 2nd pc when i get my tv back from my brother.

This is the same case i talked about few months ago wanting to use on my main pc but i wasn't confident enough to do it as i never assembled a pc before but this spare pc assembly did give me some experience and proved that i can do it, tbh as my cooling is adequate now after fan tuning in bios, it won't be a bad idea to sell this pc for a decent profit just because of the half premium case.

The mouse movement feels nice and accurate but scroll wheel isn't as smooth.

It's a decent midrange case from 2018, i love how it has not 1 but 2 front panel usb3 can be quite useful for me for looks, cooling and use of 3rd external drive but to be on safer side i am avoiding assembling my main pc inside it, atleast for now.

Just bought this for £30, works with slight damage to bottom m.2 slot(I think it will still work though) thought I’d get something to dip my toe in the AMD camp.

wanted to try some HiFi IEMs snake oil after a friend recommended me, some Pentacon metal core eartips ... (brass core)

looked them locally ... picked up my jaw from the ground when i saw the price checked them on Linsoul, well 40.90chf ... O.o well i spent that much on some of my cheaper (but good) IEMs

and then decided to go to the BGVP official store on Aliexpress, they did not have their "Exquisite" model, but another store had them ...
they don't even list them on their official website (BGVP is a brand with some nice IEMs with 4 figures price that i will probably never own  )

BGVP Exquisite : 99.9% pure copper gold plated cores and ultra comfortable liquid silicon eartip (excellent sealing and easy to clean too )
and a "wow just wow!" carry case included with them ... at 13ish chf they are not cheap but after testing them with all my IEMs i think i've found my new top 1 eartips (number 2 and 3 are the silicon with memory foam core and the standard memory foam eartips ), turn out that metal core eartips are not snake oil ;) (tested them with the Track Apocrypha II: Behold the Lauded from Satellite Empire, i was grinning from one ear to the other all along the tests )

Damn the carbon treatment on the lens look soooooo bloody gorgeous

i sold sunglasses from Pit Viper, Oakley, Dragon, Bolle, Julbo and Alpina for years ... that shape was also quite popular back in the 90s, i know my stuff when it come to sunglasses  ;)

@GreiverBlade
The contents of that spoiler are pretty hilarious. In the past I've considered sport specific ones using a carbon frame instead of [insert trade name for plastic].

Was coming close to speaking without actual experience on the (slightly controversial) subject of this purchase. Plan to install games on it along with everything else I have digitally stored. Also bought a backup 8bitdo Ultimate 2C controller thanks to the heads up on front page their US distribution had ceased.

Upgraded my phone to the pixel 9a, really love how the battery is bigger and there is no camera bump. Smart design. I think 7 years of security and OS updates, I intend to turn on the battery saver thingy so it doesn't charge fully, hoping to get the full 7 years out of this phone. Couldn't stand samsung bloatware anymore.

Interesting choice I must say, the 9a reminds me of the OnePlus 5T. The difference in the looks between the 9a and the 9 is unlike the 8a and the 8.

The Pixel is a decent lineup nonetheless, I hope you enjoy it!

I picked up a Sabrent 4 port USB 3.0 hub and a Gamesir Cyclone2 controller for my HTPC.

Huh, that phone looks suspiciously like my old Xiaomi Mi A1 back in the day, I like the Android One initiative, providing 3rd party phone manufacturer with near stock Android experience.

I'm enjoying my Xperia 1 VI, it's inconspicuous that no one see or realize that I bought new phone :D

An iPhone16e 512GB to replace a beaten up iPhone 13 mini 256GB. It is running out of storage which leads to me sorely missing the small size of 13mini and asking myself “you know you want to keep this as long as possible, why the hell didn’t you buy 512GB??”
Not related, but the salesperson said “there are almost no high-end-ish phone models with single camera’. Hmm.
I have full intentions to replace the 16e with the upcoming 17, and either put it as a trade to recoup some costs or give it to my mom. Or maybe a used 13mini 512GB if I can find one.

IMG_3618.jpeg

And a very cheap ‘many buttons’ mouse to use in my workplace. Only costs ~USD$35 equivalent.
Probably nowhere as good as a Razer Naga something, and I might want a Naga V2 Hyperspeed (or something newer) eventually, but this is good enough.

I almost went with the 16e. i just have never had an iphone before, so i decided to stick with what i know, it is funny how mentally that does work.

Remember this, kids. Good mesh is expensive.

Also, I like Netgear cable modems the best.

I own this exact same hub, have for years now, Sabrent makes great hubs.

back to phone topic: this is the phone I actually wanted, but its banned in America, I have no use for a front camera, so I like the sleek design

I love ZTE phones especially their camera centric ones, even in Asian market it's hard to get this brand of phones.

The 17 is going to have 1Hz-120Hz screen if the rumour is true. This might pique your interest...except lots of high-end Android models already have 120Hz screen.
And it's the reason that I want the 17 (while sticking with what I'm familiar with).

Jesus...I had 120hertz on my S21 ultra I bought years ago. You for real that apple still does not have that? I mean wtf.

I did a quick google and found that 13 Pro has 120Hz screen, but I'm totally not into all other features that the pro model offer.
17 would be the first non-pro model that as 120Hz (again, if rumours are true).
