thanks, no matter how disappointing performance 1050 ti gives these days as it's time has ran out, no one can snatch the crown of being a legendary GPU. But tbh, some reasonably optimized games even to date give decent performance like 30-40fps with fsr
I've still got a 1050 Ti myself in one of my HTPCs, which I absolutely love, especially for being the passively cooled Palit KalmX card. I miss when x50 level GPUs didn't have a power connector! :(

and i miss the pricing, was thinking of buying 5050 when it comes out but it's gonna be very expensive especially with all those scalpers
 
Rinse flush my loop with distilled water before changing out the coolant for a new batch? The old coolant has a blue uv color when under ultraviolet light, but is clear normally, my tubing is the clear kind also (Primochill) I have a question. I have XSPC Ec6 Clear UV coolant and i'm about to change the coolant to a new batch of blood red that is the same brand and make EC6 Blood Red UV. Should I flush it with distilled after draining it, before pouring in the new coolant? The old coolant hasa blue uv color when under ultraviolet light, but is clear normally, my tubing is the clear kind also (Primochill)

I'm hoping to not need to rinse it with distilled because Id rather not leave behind any trace of distilled water like in my huge radiator, you see I have been using Premix XSPC EC6.

Any more suggestions replies about this? Thank you

Distilled rinse is good. The coolant has distilled mixture already, so there should be no conflict.
 
I've rejoined the ranks of cheapo-AIOs.

I did a build with an ID-Cooling FX360 Pro the other week and it was such a good cooler for such a low price that I decided to grab one for my AM5 system which was just using a Wraith Prism temporarily while I was being too lazy to move my existing OS SSD across to it.

I think it may even be an Asetek model, which annoys me because those bastards were an evil patent-trolling blight on the AIO industry for at least a decade, but I don't care any more. It's cheap, it's quiet, it works well.

I did a build with an ID-Cooling FX360 Pro the other week and it was such a good cooler for such a low price that I decided to grab one for my AM5 system which was just using a Wraith Prism temporarily while I was being too lazy to move my existing OS SSD across to it.

Why the pair of F12s on stilts - is the PSU shroud blocked from air intake?
The PC is opened 24/7 and there's no place to suck air from around the PSU. The PSU itself has an intake in the bottom and it exhausts that air in the back.
The fans are therefore able to suck in air from the side of the case, if they're put up like this. Also, I like to think there's some fresh air coming from the front :respect:

No trouble cooling the 9900X with the Phantom Spirit, amirite? :cool: Best 40€ ever spent on PC cooling when I got this bad boy myself

No troubles. It will still hit 95, but it can chew on 230-250w without much trouble.

They keep my ram cool, and feed my CPU plenty of fresh air to show I care :)

My case temps are excellenteh

In my opinion, air should flow front to back, just like toilet paper.. GPU exhaust should not be pulled up through the rest of my system, just my opinion :)

Although.. when using an AIO, I use the top as exhaust, and put a fan against my ram.. but I don't really like that. I haven't tried AIO as intake yet.. maybe one day.

Years ago with my old Antec 900, I flipped the top 220mm fan over to make it as intake. Worked great for exactly the same reasons. Back in the days when side panel fans where more popular.

I find blow-through GPU coolers an annoyance. They just dump gobs of heat straight into the CPU which is selfish. The design expects your CPU to suffer unless you watercool your CPU and use the front panel intakes for the radiator, before the GPU dumps all its heat into the airflow.

I miss the days of blower coolers on GPUs where the GPU took in cool air at one end and dumped all of its heat straight out of the back of the case - problem solved. These days with quadruple slot GPUs, I'm absolutely positive there's a way use those four slots to dump 600W of GPU waste heat outside the case rather than straight at the CPU socket. Even if you're not using an air cooler, there's the poor RAM and motherboard VRMs that will cook in the exhaust.

My ID-Cooling FX360 Pro is here so I'll probably crack open a beer or five and drunkenly install it later. I don't put much effort into my own machines since they're always so very temporary but I grabbed 240 Corsair 120 ML Elite (Maglev white LED fans) for a smidge over £300 and that means I basically have infinite fans for a few months so I might as well go HAM and see how many I can cram in my case.

just get the next case with a side mount for rad.
bottom/front intake, top/rear/side mounted (radiator) all exhaust.
removes the cpu heat, and improves airflow for gpu/case.

wish i had kept my reserator, 3ft of alu-rad and 2 gal of coolant take a while just to saturate :D

i flush once with filtered drinking water until color is gone, then 1 gal distilled, then use primochill sys cleaner,
flush and refill.
 
Lmao, PCM has made it big time! Apparently McLaren F1 has been haxing their brakes with PCM giving them an unfair advantage with tires. It's not directly related to pc cooling but it's hilarious nonetheless. PCM for all!

CPU coolers can take a lot more beating mostly because CPUs consume a lot less power (ideally) than GPUs.
So personally, I'll take all the GPU cooling I can get within my limited space, and don't mind a couple of degrees on top of my CPU temp in exchange.
