Well based on what I see in this post so far, I like it !

I've been using dark mode on my phones for years, but that was mainly to reduce battery usage, but a few years ago, I tried it on a few other sites and hated it, but obviously, it has gotten better since then....

I like the new Dark Mode.

The System Specs looks nice in dark mode.

Unfortunately the System Specs in Default mode is borked, the drop-down does not have a background and is very difficult to read.

This is awesome! One of the most "necessary" features of any website. It's looking great throughout most views in the forum already.

Maybe the colors of these quote boxes can be lightened a touch? The shades of the user section and their text seem a bit too similar and could be separated just a few notches?

Made a bit of a gradient grayscale palette with mix of blue gradient that progressively darkens in intervals from 0, 210, 210 down to 0, 175, 175 in shifts of 0, 7, 7. I should probably finish it off later since it's a kind of nice effect and maybe do a green and red variation of it. It would probably look kind of nice in blender for a texture.

I tried both Default Styles, same result,.. no background on the drop-down menu. The dark mode is working fine.

I'm having a hard time finding a better blue color, right click, inspect, mess around with the CSS, see if you can find something better that's sufficiently different from the normal user color

Sure, can do.

If an user has not set up a profile banner, this is the the background contrast. Going with a darker blue makes this super hard to make out in the testing I did. I tried some genuine purples, but didn't find one that contrasted well in both light and dark modes.

Weirdly enough it's only on "forums". Not on "new posts" or "members"

Edit: wait... I think that's intended since light mode is always white

Edit2: Hmmm... Personally like the inverted/swapped colour on the "forums-button" the most (how it's done in light mode) it jumps a lot better in the eye, but that would go against the dark theme...

So I would keep it for now how it is, maybe it's just a me issue

I think there is a border that is being made the same color on page indices. I also think quotes are a bit too dark. but this is super close to dark reader and iv shut it off! I would also brighten up the staff titles a bit.

It may also be good to duplicate this setting to something more easily findable in the account settings.
