Dark Mode - Feedback please

It's good so far. I can finally retire my midnight lizard custom theme for this website. Still might be a bit too dark/contrasted for my taste, but I'm happy we have it at last.
Though, why not add a couple of presets to maybe better suit for everyone's taste?

And now please add it to the home page as well...

I'm not sure if this is a bug or not but there is a distinct lack of Darth Vader laughing in the background as one toggles to dark mode and experiences the new found joy.

{edit} testing YT link in dark mode for science!

Can also confirm it looks good on mobile, great job!

Not sure if related, but users "system specs" has a transparent background making it very difficult to read.

Tested on latest Brave and Edge browser.

EDIT: Works fine in dark mode, issue only exists in default style.

god dam about fking time no longer will the forum cause snowblindness

couple things the "stars" on user profiles need updating and could do with a slightly larger bolder font to combat aliasing / readability issues

I'm getting the smilies and the stars fixed and then we can go live?

Yeah that's a known issue, but I'll switch the Dark Mode WIP style to Default Style soon (it supports both light and dark)

works good enough id like to see font options but that may require effort. the default font type is a bit harder to read due to the char size and outline on dark backrounds but its usable enough

Uh, sorry, I meant for the moderator blue, not for the standard user blue
Yep, I was showing one reason a simple darker blue for mods would be an issue on profile pages.

A few samples:

The last one is what it is currently.

Edit: 0033CC and 9900CC. Sorry it's fuzzy, I was using MS paint :)

Can't change fonts unfortunately, it would affect both light and dark

How about I made the user column background a little bit less dark?

Could work. I don't mind the mild purple, myself, but I understand if you want to keep a similar theme to what was before. What color did you have in mind? I could plug that into that little sample.

Also, what specifically is the current moderator color?

I've just had a go (on PC). Some emojis are out of whack with white outlines around them. Other than that, it looks great. :)

Edit: I've always hated large walls of text, but they're even harder to read now for some reason. I can't put my finger on why.

Outline is a little bit too subtle to my liking.

Also this blue is a tad too bright. Maybe dim it?

Reload, how's this?

And with 9900cc:

We can have two different colors, but I'd like them to be a similar hue to avoid confusion. This should be the case with the live colors on the site right now
I personally don't mind what color it is, just figured you would like to see it some other ways.

The sidebar seems OK, with the current colors, but it isn't super distinct in places like this:

Feedback :
So far so good !

The color gradient on the page buttons (mobile only) is a little odd, as well.

It starts darker than the background and ends lighter.

Better now?
