Dark Mode - Feedback please

I really would like a feature where we could turn off Long Service Badges, they made sense in the past, but so many of us have them now it's a bit of extra fluff I'd be ok being able to toggle on off, I'd leave it off if I had the choice. Some would leave it on, win win for everyone. Not sure if that is possible, but it really is bothering me in Dark Mode, because I see it like so prominently now so many times because so many people have badges, it's just a bit distracting.

You're just mad that my badge is bigger

Maybe we should make the criteria harder? Let me spin up a poll in a separate thread

Good Job on the dark mode. I considered how a big company struggles to implement dark mode for Windows 11 Pro.

I'm not sure if it's my browser setting or the fonts. The criticism about colour and font are just the usual for any webpage I suppose. I think that has been mentioned already without reading this topic.

Now I always have to change it when I open TPU. Thanks.

Just set it statically? There are literally 3 places. Top right, bottom and profile options.

I went back to the classic view.. it just makes it easier for me to spot new posts in the section view. I do no mind the white backdrop, I do not drink so no hangover worries :D

A moot point by now,: When I checked out the forum at home yesterday and it switched to dark mode, because that's how I run Windows at home, pretty much everything was dark/black. Had huge problems finding anything, including the mode button. Alas, it's much better now. I do think I prefer to have the forum in the same colour as the main site.

EDIT: Seems like dark mode is still broken.

Nice so far but icons on top need to be a little more contrast

Hell yeah, dark mode! Seems fine on desktop for me
Only thing I can think is that "mustard" color for pinned threads. Looks so weird and out of place

uh, that's not how it looks. do you have some dark mode addon still enabled?
This is on samsung browser and if dark mode is detected on any site it disables built in and switches to sites dark mode

Great update! :) I use Dark mode on all websites/apps that allow it.

Dark Reader should be compatible with SeaMonkey. Give it a go.

Don't think so. Honestly don't remember and I don't want to mess with it..

EDIT: Just checked it, don't have a banner loaded. Maybe it's an auto colour selection based on my Avatar?

EDIT2: Just looked at @AsRock 's profile and his banner has the same default colour to it. So maybe it's your browser doing something custom?

Thanks, but i like to keep the browser light as possible, every thing else looks fine.

EDIT: changing it to system makes no difference at all either which in dark mode.

what about the front page ? id be nice to not need to go blind to get to the forums
What browser are you using if it's a chromium based browser you should be able to access the advanced settings page by typing browser name://flags in the address bar and then just search for Dark Mode and yo should be able to make the front page of TPU look like this

Dark Reader is capable of detecting the forum's dark mode, so it's been a seamless experience: it disables itself in the forums and reenables itself on the main page. Pretty good.

A significant number of people disagrees with you and asked for an option at the top, even though I agree with you

What about cake and eat it though!? :p One thing that might be possible not sure is if you could also it put down bottom where this stuff is like so and nudge that other stuff over a few pixels. Doesn't bother me personally, but might look more tidy.

uBlock Origin, block image, probably.

I like that dark mode is dark gray and not 0,0,0 black. I don't like dark mode on Win11 because the window borders literally disappear for many programs. TPU dark mode seems okay.

thank you...W1zzard! :rockout::)

Identity wise, do what you feel compelled towards
so long as it isn't scrubbing entire db that causes long term members to rage quit who've forgotten what it's like to have a wife of small children in the house.

 solution with But Expensive.

My initial thoughts are the post and comment background is brighter than dark reader
Same sentiment here. I prefer dark reader's darker blacks.

Nevermind, I'm dumb. Dark reader was the lighter one.

I like it. Thanks!

Could you please make the techpowerup logo "on" during day and "off" during black theme? Like "on " looks as normal logo, "off" looks like a non-red only gray.

The same.

Classic FTW :peace:

I'm a noob, not using dark mode anywhere.
IDK why but dark mode just hurts my eyes, maybe it's the VA panel, I don't rightly know honestly.
