What's your latest tech purchase?

I don't know if it counts, cause noctua sended me brackets to mount vertical nh d15 g2.
:)

Birthday bits ordered :D
HBD! Just got a 14600k myself. Mine is like 76sp on the P cores, ugh and like 86 on e cores, double ugh. I haven't been able to get past 5.7/4.5 :( Its still faster than my 12900k was and its something new to tinker with a bit. Cheap too.

I went and got the reverse model fans now for a total of 6 x 140mm RGB fans for under $100 is pretty sweet. I don't mind how it daisy chains and it's nice you don't need a proprietary controller for the RGB. The only downside really is if you don't install in triplicate the interlocking notches do poke out making 2 sides of each fan difficult to flush mount individually.

The noise profile is pretty good for 800rpm (UEFI silent mode) it's not obnoxious.

Just got these today, sick of the trailing wire.

Two different monitor lights, one is a joke purchase and one is an expensive, serious purchase, led from this news article. No prize for guessing which is the joke.

IMG_3780.jpeg

Jokes aside...no really. I expected the joke product to be a less expensive yet useful one, but somehow... the ROG branded monitor light has a very badly designed clamp that doesn't work well on the ROG Swift branded PG27UCDM, due to the “backpack” part of the monitor being too tall and in a wrong shape. It does work well on my other non-ROG-branded monitor, but it ruined my plan to jokingly make it more ROG.
This shows how silly the clamp is.

The serious one is a much fancier, much better designed product that can at least justify its price.

Was cheap so thought I’d grab it out of curiosity

I bought an era appropriate case for my Sabertooth Z77, and it is the Aerocool RS-4.
Notable features of this case include the top carry handle, memory card reader(covered in the front panel), fan speed control knob at the top, and 140mm stock fans.
After replacing the dual core Pentium with a Xeon E3 1230v2, performance was quite good considering the age.
I hope I get the Fatal1ty z77 fixed soon as it will fit the Case Color Scheme better than the Sabertooth.
My 3070 currently lives inside this PC (not shown in pictures below) as I sold almost all the PC parts of my main rig, but I scored a great parts haul for cheap and I'll post the new rig when it gets completed here as I got all parts for a very good price.

Yeah, your PC rolling off your desk and conking you on the head would be a bad thing..
Right?

It is 9 feet from where I am sitting, and it weighs 18 kilos empty.. bad poltergeist bad..

No but seriously.. I just bought my kid a new chair, and of course its on carpet.. I might trade him for his plastic rollers that are also about an inch shorter.. this thing looks a bit goofy on an end table now. Another inch or so an it would be matching the top of the 50 inch TV that it is sitting beside :D

I must have been high when I bought them :pimp:

Edit:

Newflash:

I am always high.

Edit again:

I think this is a case of just because you can.. doesn't mean you should..

But that's ok, that's how I do things apparently.

Ok my office / gamer Version Mk VII is all done !

New 14600K and a Fractal Pop Air case.
All seems good :toast:

I think this is a case of just because you can.. doesn't mean you should..

And in My opinion this clear wheels looks cool :D.

Powercolor 9070XT red devil.

Black top and white bottom pudding caps for my SteelSeries Apex 9 TKL.

Would post some pics but my Doro phone makes all pics look like they were taken in Minecraft

Any good? Liking the low weight.
Got a G435 for my missus some time ago. Battery life is good, audio is decent and mic is passable. Connection with the 2.4GHz dongle is quirky. Its lightness is unbelieavable, to the point you question how fragile it is.
If it is of any interest, works just the same with a MacBook, be it through 2.4 (equally quirky) or BT.

Quirky dongle is not what you want, it should be easy to use. Passable and decent doesn't sound great either, but it is cheap. Comfort?

It is a bit small, but it didn't clamp hard on my head when I tried it brand new. It only has up-down adjustment at the cans with little pivot range, so it doesn't help much for those with really larger heads. I had no issues with my glasses though, the foam is very forgiving.
About the dongle, it IS plug and play but connection is finicky. BT works flawlessly, but there's added latency.
