Modified drivers for X-Fi sound cards.

I've heard of HeSuVi... watching this demo video:
sounds very similar to playing a game with DirectSound3D and OpenAL support with headphones without using any audio virtualization techniques... This might only be useful for modern games with flat stereo.
do you know how I can record the sound from a game using OBS with "what you hear"
I record it as stereo? how would people hear the CMSS3D? when they use STEREO right? is that the right way?

I will record it like this someone said connect 3.5mm to headphones out to Line in and record from this it will give CMSS3D
Then you will hear the difference

for chromium browsers you can also use --try-supported-channel-layouts shortcut flag, it enables 5.1 sound in youtube and other videos

@Antes533 I ordered from ebay Titanium HD, which driver should I use , the same ones or there are better one than the ported for Titanium?

for chromium browsers you can also use --try-supported-channel-layouts shortcut flag, it enables 5.1 sound in youtube and other videos
does edge have it also? in chrome://flags

not in flags, you have to add in shortcut "C:\Program Files\Opera GX\opera.exe" --try-supported-channel-layouts --enable-features=MediaFoundationClearPlayback this is just example with another media foundation clear flag which chrome also removed in flags, in edge this switch should work also since it uses chromium, second flag has different purpose + it needs additional codec packs and extensions to work in chromium browsers https://www.codecguide.com/media_foundation_codecs.htm

I've looked again and found a better explanation

For CMSS-3D in games, you should generally set your system to surround if you have a surround sound system, and stereo if you're using headphones or stereo speakers. If using headphones, enable CMSS-3D within the Creative software for the best virtual surround experience.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:
If using a surround sound system:
  • Set Windows to match your speaker configuration:
If you have a 5.1 or 7.1 setup, make sure Windows is configured for that number of channels.

  • Enable CMSS-3D in the Creative software:
This will allow the sound card to process the audio and enhance the surround sound effect.
If using headphones:
  • Set Windows to stereo:
This ensures that the sound card is processing the audio correctly for stereo output. (This is the one rule sentence)

  • Enable CMSS-3D in the Creative software and set it to "headphones":
This will create a virtual surround sound experience within your headphones, providing an immersive audio experience.
So fast and simple, if using Headphones, it needs to be HEADPHONES + STEREO in game, nothing else

Question is if the game AUTO DETECT the game speakers, or it's just a bug with the game version I updated in the precinct game, because there is no music when I first enter the game, as soon I change from already set STEREO or even SURROUND the music comes back. I think it's just a bug with 1.0.6 version

Question is what WarHammer 4000 darktide see when it's AUTO because it has couple options, 5.1, Stereo, Stereo Headphones, Mono, so I am not sure what's the Stereo vs Stereo Headphones

Ti HD this audio card has only stereo analog output and 5.1 digital. There is only a native driver for it....the driver from other Titanium will not work.

I've found the issue. I tested again with your drivers on both Fresh OS and Main OS and as soon I have 7.1 and maybe other windows speaker setting expect STEREO, and headphones in the Creative CP Everything would freeze or crash, I would lose audio
Does it happen to you if you try ? it takes couple min to happen, losing sound. make sure you run some 7.1 things like MKV 4K Movies or games with surround

What do you mean 5.1 Digital?

I take it back: the stupid ctxfihlp.exe is causing the audio disappearing and the sound freeze, when I don't let it startup no crashes with 7.1.. I forgot I re enabled it to check.
how this file doing so much for nothing

Without ctxfihlp.exe no affect/freeze/sound lost on both Fresh OS and Main OS
I tested Exclusive mode on/off
I tested 7.1 in windows speakers
Headphones in CP
24bit 48Khz

Freezes with ctxihlp.exe
when set 7.1 in window speakers
24bit 48Khz and 96Khz

I do not confirm... everything works as it should... no crashes or freezes. Why are you experimenting with ctxihlp.exe at all? It should be included in startup... it is an integral part of the driver.

Titanium HD does not support multi-channel analog sound, only stereo.

Your audio card is most likely faulty.

yes titanium hd no 5.1 analog, only stereo, other x-fi titanium soundcards all support 5.1+ analog, i don't have any bugs with ctxfihlp.exe

When you install the driver, do you have 16\48 kHz or 24\48 kHz by default?
24/48 Khz
without Ctxfihlp.exe it seems it always revert to 2/2.1 in CCP, not sure if it is also in Console launcher. so something is weird here. that's the only setting that changes
There are too many complications
Question why it revert to 2/2.1 after restart without ctxfihlp.exe, it's like it can't use that, for example if I try to use 32bit 96Khz I lose CMSS3D or all the options of surround, like 5.1 and 7.1 , only stereo was shown it only happened once when I checked I didn't mess with it again, someone else said that the CMSS3D stopped working when he used 32bit

Could be the SPDIF can't transfer 24bit 96Khz?
Could be ctxfihlp.exe causing the crashes for Titanium only? and not the titanium HD that you 2 have? Is there another version I can use for ctxfihlp.exe? maybe the one you put causing issues for me?
I am trying to rule all things

First, we need another ctxfihlp.exe version so we can check if it's the version you are using for titanium HD, and it seems to crash for the titanium.
as for the Titanium HD we don't need 7.1 for SPDIF as it supposed to be Stereo anyway for CMSS3D. and analog I don't think I'll have 7.1 in the near future.
I just want to have backup

Also, I had an SPDIF that had crackling, so I wonder if I have low quality sound because of the SPDIF, so I am testing also another cable and I bought 2 others for the Titanium HD Toslink to minitoslink and adapters so I can use the same cables

And from the test I did, no matter what I do with CMSS3D for example in the game the precinct Surround doesn't work either way no matter if it's Windows speaker Stereo, 5.1, 7.1
it only worked fine with Heusvi
Now I am not sure if it's the driver issue, could be it is messing something?

I need to check version 1.5.0 again to see what the hell is going on

I used the original ctxfihlp.exe and it doesn't freeze no matter what I do with 5.1 or 7.1, with your file it freezes
There is another file I am not sure what it does ctxfireg.exe

@Antes533 The hell.. I replaced both of the files Ctxfireg.exe and ctxfihlp.exe with 2.40 version and now SURROUND Works FINE in The Precinct ! Using Headphones CMSS3D + Stereo Windows
Something in your version messes up the CMSS3D totally. it's like it can't read the data of the speakers/enable CMSS3D or something properly. it's like stuck on one mode and games use only it no matter what you change, that's why it freezes with it running!

Everything works fine for me anyway

first you have version 1.4 the music is fixed there without the need to switch from the stereo to surround or whatever you had it.
the issue started with 1.6 that after you click F to get to the first menu the music disappear just in the menu until you do that, music works fine when you are in the game.

second is with surround when you start driving you will hear how everything is messed overblown sound with the ctxfihlp 300.00 version . drive to one of the water hydrant the red things near the road and move the camera around you should hear it 360 when moving around it and far from it.
it doesn't work with ctxhlp 300 when using surround . it messed up . only stereo works like it should means the surround doesn't work . when changing the ctxhlp to 2.40 official dll file surround and stereo works like they should so I also replaced the ctxfireg one

you only check one thing which bugged out with 1.6 . it's a game issue with the start music. but you need to do the 2nd test

everything around seems quiet and it is clear where it is moving from...not stereo

record a video of how you do it

I will try to use this instead the Port v3, as we have different cards it must cause issues, none of you have the Titanium alone so it must have issues compared for me
I'll update tomorrow....it's too late today

can you remove the 88.2kHz and 176kHz
88kHz and 176kHz frequencies are supported by these cards. Starting with Windows 8, they were simply disabled in the driver....before that, they were present in the official drivers, and these reference frequencies are provided in the console launcher.

I'll update tomorrow....it's too late today
so I am doing couple of tests
you said 2.40 has bad THD? that's official version too directly from Creative or just Daniel version V8? is Daniel V5 version fine?
At the moment I installed Daniel V5 on the fresh OS and it works perfect without touching anything. what you hear works, CMSS3D Stereo or surround works Headphones + Stereo,
do we need to select FULL RANGE on the speaker menu?
because on default it isn't selected do you have selected on yours? I am talking specifically when using HEADPHONES ONLY using SPDIF through Stereo-Mix option, so it transfers the CMSS3D through the SPDIF using Speakers and not the SPDIF Output in windows device. you know what I mean.

this is the official driver 2.40

this is a driver from the motherboard gigabyte assasin G1

this function is not active in the driver, so it does not matter how you set it
So is the official 2.40 is good to use? doesn't have the gigabyte THD issue? or only 2.17 is the best driver to use for all XFI? because the V5 works PERFECT, STEREO works Great, but surround even works better for some reason, I can close my eyes and hear exactly where the fire hydrant is in the precinct. ctxfihelp.exe not running at all, I didn't use the reg fix

So please put a warning that the Titanium PORT V3 is not supported for Titanium, it doesn't work at all. I am not sure how you can fix it because I don't know what the issue is. could be the driver 2.17 or something else

I think it sound bad because the SFX/EFX APO that was updated there, it disabled the CMSS3D surround like Heusvi + APO that surround didn't work properly at least that's what I know that could actually do that.

Changes:
"The APO responsible for sound rendering has been replaced with higher quality ones, scene depth, stereo and FX effects & stability have been improved. And much more in the driver architecture ".

Could you make a version with the OLD APO / normal so I could test it? to see if that's the issue?

Use oficial driver.
I think the card is fucked
I checked it's made in malaysa and I saw on the internet some of them are made Philippines . is there fakes ?

anyway it is freezing all the time randomly. I will wait for the titanium HD and see.
what is the second sound card to use with xfi chip that work windows 11?
Auzen X-Fi Forte
ONKYO Wavio SE-300PCIe

Would the SPDIF sound the same as Titanium HD CMSS3D with headphones? Because it doesn't have 7.1? or CMSS3D will be like 7.1 anyway right? because it's headphones in the Console Launcher

this is what I found in internet
