AAF Optimus Modded Driver For Windows 10 & Windows 11 - Only for Realtek HDAUDIO Chips

I was really surprised by THX I can notice the difference in many games that do not have dolby technology the attenuation of the sounds behind my back.

The good news is that there is an update for version 2020.709.1.0 which is 2023.725.1.0 can be downloaded from store.rg-adguard putting the code of the app, the bad news is that you can not install because it gives me an error message:

Windows cannot install package THXLtd.THXSpatialAudioControl_2023.725.1.0_x64__zgheytcpjsgqw because this package depends on a device driver that could not be found. One of the following device drivers must be installed: {[THX-THXRTHSA.inf, 1.0.3.50]} (0x80073cfd)

since razer owns thx they hid the app in the microsoft store, I leave the link in case someone knows how to install it and could help us.

"dolby technology the attenuation of the sounds behind my back"
this is awful in arma3, the game I play, it´s like you go deaf by turning 180. thats not how ears work hehe.

maybe that particular game doesn't work well or you haven't configured it wrong, since both outputs have to be configured in 7.1.

Speaking of dolby atmos it is useless if you don't have dolby content and not all games are compatible, which is a very negative point, I bought the dolby acces and even fxsound does a better job than that crap from the microsoft store, even the dolby versions distributed by AFF are better than the one in the store, since in the new versions they changed how the sound feels around you.

still most of the sound is on the left side (The audio distribution to the channels is wrong and leans more to the left). thats problem happen only when i play atmos or 5.1/7.1 content and while dolby atmos for headphones in spatial sound is enable

https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/attachments/1749848827658-png.403654/ but when using this old dax3 with dolby atmos for headphones enable everything's fine

i think its something about that default.xml in dolbyaposvc

+Dts connect not working on both patched realtek and interactive

I was tired of all the audio issue i had with my official realtek drivers and starting to dig about sound buzzing, volume lowering by itself and other instability issue and i remind that in the past at some point i was using modded drivers for my sound blaster, i found those amazing AAF drivers and absolutely all my problems are gone!

My chipset is ALC897 on Gigabyte B850M motherboard connected to bose speakers

Just here to say thx you and keep up the good work :)

During the installation i used the following main options :$

- Install Realtek ASIO Controller
- Install With effect

Features :
- Install 5.1 Digital Audio Feature
Realtek Patched APO (5.1)

If any of you have recommendation regarding the option to add, please be welcome to advise me :)

Again Thx you for your amazing work !

Did you install DTS Interactive 5.1 Surround or you have a 5.1/7.1 setup? You won't need the UWP apps since DTSX is automatic in Multi-Channel mode. You can only use those settings in stereo mode.

What we have is the VAD (Virtual Audio Driver). The windows store update might be for those with the THX-Realtek Device Driver.

I agree with you dolby used to deliver another quality and it was better.

I think I saw some realtek drivers with THX in some forum but in the AAF drivers I never saw them, although I would love to have that support for THX.

The one by shibajee. I tried that. Too bassy. I prefer realtek dts.

Depends what preset is being used, personally I made a true sound preset, no device tuning.
Most OEM DTS presets sound over amped in one way or another, not good.

Blame the preset maker, not DTS or Shibajee.

Not actually blaming the modder. I was stating personal preference in all Realtek flavors. THX is thick and bassy, Dolby's dialog enhancement is annoying, DTS has a more pronounced spatial and the LFE separation is good. (this is using a cheap channel-virtualized stereo soundbar). Preference is also, I guess, system dependent. They might all sound good in a real multi-channel setup.

Realtek DTS is more true sound, plus I did not realize you where referring to THX with the bass comment. Noted.
DTS Interactive + DTS:X (with true sound preset), if you are using optical. It has multichannel mode.

What an important find, thank you very much, I will try to test it. Talking about the sound, a lot of things like the equalization of the driver, app or the physical as well. Personally I tried the old THX driver independent of realtek and razer that works with any USB headset and it was perfect, that's why I'm so happy that I want to try this updated version, although I don't know how it will be working with the realtek controller.

I found it here with THX 2023 realtek is the free updated app!

nowadays to have this sound you have to pay 22 dollars to razer for their app which is not sold in some countries.

Have you tried Boom3D or other similar software DSP's?
Yes I have fxsound and Boom3d which is probably almost the best but it doesn't have HRTF which means that behind my back things in games sound the same and there is no difference in sound around me, there are more complete solutions like HeSuVi-Peace and Apo Equalizer but they didn't convince me. HRTF makes even non-Dolby games deliver that effect I told you about.

Are these supposed to be links?
Lol... I'm so slow... I just realized this is speaker setup. Razer has 2 audio enhancement app, Razer Surround is 7. 1 and Razer THX Spatial Audio. The one with 7.1.4 you're talking about is probably THX Spatial Audio+ which is not out yet and I think would still be under Razer.
