What's your latest tech purchase?

most of the weight on a bike comes from the engine. Unless you are using archaic stuff like Royal Enfield. Mine is light as well. Only 139 kg. Very good for city commuting with it being easy to flick around.

What is your bike?

Craigslist lottery win: Noctua mid-tower case, Seasonic Focus Plus 750 watt PSU and LG DVD Blu-ray burner for $35.

Finally got my new card, had some delays thanks to various reasons.
This is a brand new card just not bought from retail but the warranty is still valid so I've saved some decent money this way + the seller is actually buying my 3060 Ti off my hands so its a win-win situation for me.:) 'Not my first time dealing with this person so I knew that its all good'

Comparison with my TuF 3060 Ti:

This is in fact a true 2 slot card but the cooling is decent enough for its size, no more loud than my TuF 3060 Ti was and the temps are also well in check.
In my country this was the best deal within my budget range and at my resolution the Vram is a non issue nor will be anytime soon.
Also I was mad enough to keep my 500W PSU and try it with that and it actually runs with zero issues and I did try to stress my entire PC with Cyberpunk and its all stable. 'PSU fan is not loud either'
I might still buy a new PSU with a native cable at some point cause that adapter cable mess in my case looks like crap'

I'm still in the process of tuning in the undervolt and clock values but so far its all good.:)

Recently saw those mouse rugs on Ali, was thinking of getting one for myself :D the mouse is great too :P
I hope they have the flying version, it would be perfect for my armchair and bed use case.

I received a DHL Shipping notification. I wish I get the mainboard before next Thursday Holiday. DHL is not the fastest from Germany to Austria.

MSI Mainboard X670E Gaming Plus Wifi
1 222,00 € 222,00 €

RASPBERRY PI Mikrocontroller PICO
1 3,99 € 3,99 €

I'm looking forward to get rid of the current ASUS Prime X670-P mainboard.

My 15mm thermalright fans came in for my 4070s mod today. After the repaste (half of it was literally gone and I was seeing 100c hotspot temps while gaming) and deshroud, I tested some BeQuiet, Arctic fans which were standard thickness, which was too thick for my use case. The new, thinner fans push plenty of air at 12v, have PWM control and go to 2700rpms.

How well did it work? Hotspot maxed out at 69c during a decent gaming session. The gpu temps now maxed at 59c and the vram, one degree lower 58c. Not too shabby. About 30c. Well worth the cost of the Thermal Grizzly and two fans.

Electric screwdriver, WX242. Got it on Ali for $33 with coupon.

Call me crazy, but I got a TP-Link Archer AX1500 cheap

Archer AX1500.jpg

Updated and not in my network (I could not resist the unit for $5)

I got a massive parts haul today to restore my main rig. I'll List them Below.

For a processor, I got myself a brand new Ryzen 7 5700x for only 110 USD. As expected it is a VMR-B2 stepping model.
On the memory side, I got a pretty sweet deal on a brand new set of 32GB Hynix CJR. It has a simple LED strip which is all the lighting I needed. Fangxiang is a well known brand in China and I don't need to worry about warranty that much.

The motherboard I got this time is a Gigabyte X570 Aorus Ultra. I got it for 90 USD. The only supposed defect of this motherboard is a single broken pin on the 2nd USB 3.0 Header but it is an easy problem to fix and it also has a spare USB 3.0 Header. The original retail box and accessories of the motherboard were also present making it a good deal in my opinion.

For the Additional SSD, I got myself a 1TB Ediloca EN855 for 48 USD . It is a rebranded Fangxiang S770. It uses the IG5236 Controller with SK Hynix V7 TLC. People are wary on this controller for good reason but I think keeping it cool will make it last longer, and it only got up to 58 degrees with an ambient temperature of 35-37 degrees.

For my new power supply, I opted for a darkflash PMT750 for 65 USD. Upon its arrival, I immediately realized that this power supply uses a similar platform of my previous Segotep GM850W.The PMT has individually sleeved cables, semi-passive fan operation, and better capacitor choice as compared to my GM850W.

For Additional cooling, I opted for a Thermalright Frozen Warframe 360 SE for 66 USD. It has a smaller screen and cheaper fans compared to the PRO, Ultra, and standard variants. But as the screen is only magnetically attached to the pump housing, it is upgradeable.

I know it would've been a wiser move and have longer term upgrade path if I went on an bought a 7500f+b650 motherboard, but I am satisifed by the 5700x at the moment. I'll just have to sell again and make sensible part choices the next time I do a rig.

I also got a Dataland (Power Color) R7 260x 2GB for 20 USD as a display adapter for my backup PC/Server as the xeon lacks any display output. I need to patch the vga bios for complete UEFI support.

For a Second there I thought you got a fake motherboard lmao never even heard of the Aorus ultra but just looks like the Master with a different name lol.

Even though my first one died I really liked the Master, Gigabyte sent me a 1.1 after my 1.0 bit the dust.

It's below the Master. GB released X570 Pro, Elite, Ultra, Master and Xtreme. Quite easy to get lost amidst the options.

I forgot, they look nearly identical from the front. Can't believe these boards are 6 years old already feels like yesterday I couldn't decide between the Crosshair 8 and Aorus Master but ended up just buying both anyways lol.

Finally my package arrived with the "Raspberry-PI-Pico" and the MSI X670E Gaming Plus Wifi Mainboard.

The front of the mainboard box says "The product contains non-replaceable batteries.". I disagree, I'm able to replace the CR2032 cell type myself.

Wifi Antenna below the cartoon inlay barely has any place. MSI saved a lot of money on the packaging.

GMMK 3 Pro HE. The stabilizers are pretty ehhhh, space bar stabs are unusable so have to wait for knight v3s to come in. The keycap kit I had also didn’t have the del key in the right color and they changed the base material color so the lighting isn’t as bright as my previous set up caps.

I wish I could find a good orange color fade set but they seem very rare, or maybe I’m just looking in the wrong places.

Which revision though? Only the 1.8 and 3.6 seem to be duds that are no longer getting firmware updates though. All the other ones got one last month.

5070 aint solid at all XD

5070 aint solid at all XD
Depends on your use case/target res and how much do you pay for it.
In my case it is in fact solid/build quality is solid too and it was the best option I've had around here. 'Tho I will admit that naming is kinda funny:laugh: '
