Is is too good to be true HL2: Ep 3?

Well there is most certainly going to be an EP3/HL3. The only thing thats on my mind is what is it going to look like(Graphics Wise) and what the story line is going to be like(ex. Is the Portal Gun going to be in it?).

Did you see that pic though? Although its so small that looked awesome, can it be legit?

valve comfirmed portal 2, probably be bundled with it. would be nice if valve added directx 10 support to the source engine for Episode 3.

I remember reading about Episode 3 shortly after beating HL2, EP1 and EP2, so it's been in talks for a while.

In one of the articles I read, they said Episode 3 wasn't then end for HL2, but the future was unknown, but that article was read probably about 6 months ago (if not more) so things may have changed.

Awesome in my view Portal was the pick of the Orange box and a second one will be sweet and as for ep3 who nos hopefully the graphics are updated its needed it :/

I disagree even though I have been playing team fortress since I was 13, 14. I think Team Fortress 2 came out on top as the bigger success.

Team Fortress is good, but its only a revamp of an old idea, Portal was something new, fresh, and didn't come off boring, albeit ridiculously short.

I don't know why you guys are worrying about graphics so much. EP2 looked awesome enough as it is, I'd rather them keep focusing on gameplay and put the graphics on the back burner.

Talking about the Orange Box, I think a lot of people were initially more excited about Portal, and once they finished it TF2 stole the spotlight. I dunno though, I started with TF2 Beta, went to Portal then went to EP2, then went back to TF2. With the cliffhanger they left at the end of EP2 this next one has got to be intense!

I hope they release Counter-Strike 2 with the Oranger Box...Half-Life Episode 3 is no surprise. There's also going to be a Half-Life 3.

for me portal was kinda boring actully, EP2 rocked though, and TF2 is ok, but its not excatly the best steam MP game at least to me, thats still CSS with DODS in close second

As for episodes of HL back when they started the idea, there where to be 6 episodes not 3

It would be to hard to make a CS2 cause there are too many rabid fantards.. I remember when CSS was released, I loved it but everyone else was complaining about SOMETHING. I my self would love a CS2 and I know Valve can live up to it.

I played Ep2 first, beat that then Portal then my TF2 addiction started

What would they DO in cs2? cs has hardly changed gameplay wise from when it first started except for the radar and improved hit detection.

Also i heard somewhere that Half life 3 == episodes 1-3, but that when asked about "how will it end", they said "does it have to end?". IE: Half life 3 may be gordons last appearance (although i REALLY hope its not D'=), but the same world will continue in future games.

Portal 2 ftw, hopefully they'll introduce even more mind-blowing puzzles and intriguing storyline. I know they're up to the task.

I wasn't expecting TF2 to be a big deal, i just got the box instead of just portal and hl2 ep2 because i didn't know they were available separately *headsmack*. However now TF2 is my fav game, have clocked up 130 hours as scout and counting.

Every time Valve confirms a release date for a Half Life game (starting with HL2) I replay all the games from Half Life on. It gets better every time.

Really? God I've never gotten bored with HL2. The only time I get bored is when I run out of ammo, but impulse_101 fixes that.

Honestly ep 2 has been my favorite part of the whole series so far. I don't know if I got into it too late to enjoy the nuances of hl2, but that game drug on and didn't offer enough gameplay variation or the sense that anything was really happening through most of it. I felt like I was almost going through the motions for too much of the game. Ep 2 really got me going though, packed quite a punch, in gameplay, graphics, story, and cliffhanger. I thought someone said they are supposed to be working dx10 into ep 3, I hope so, I'm eagerly awaiting the finish.
