I have looked at other laptops with more efficient CPUs (since even Haswell is more efficient than Richland) but I just really like the 645/655 G1 platform, so I will turn it into a power efficiency tuning challenge :)

OH! You're working on a laptop. I thought we were talking about a desktop. Sorry about that.

The 1 TB SSD would not be for my 645 G1; the 256 GB X300 is. I am thinking about two different systems that would replace my current X470 main system but I am not entirely sure yet what they will look like. I have considered a lot of options.

That's a great paper. It explains in good detail how the vulnerabilities function. However it does nothing to explain actual deployment of a payload. To implement any of those described exploits, physical access or direct Admin User actions are required.

You can not deploy a payload with a "drive-by" type attack, unless the user is careless or stupid enough to interact with something presented to them in page that has very specifically crafted scripting. In simple terms, as long as people do NOT visit "ishouldnotbehere.com" or clicks on every link that's presented to them, the risks for remote exploitation are so intangible as to be insignificant.
I just found a new toy! Very cool too! Essentially, live wallpapers for modern Windows! Free and open source! No malware either!

i just LOVE! the matrix one. but it takes one processor load @ max. the only small bitter pill.

That much? On my system it takes about 30% of one core. The screen cap doesn't capture the mouse cursor, but this one is fun!

Good grief was this a messed up day! It was like everyone and their bloody minded grandma wanted to get on my wick. I love my job, but the nitwits just make it hell sometimes...

Hope you find something that makes you forget about it. :)
Or like, get a friend and go somewhere like a coffee shop to drink and rant about it

EDIT: I think I am too late to reply, I apologize Lex Tsar :ohwell: ... I hope you are living a good life :)

Looking good mr.lex, looking gooood.
Jacob over at JDP Gaming did a 900 subscriber special Survive the Hunt run. Different rules, but great fun!
Give him a watch, a like and sub if you enjoy GTA5 Survive the Hunt runs!
No matter where you're from or what you're into, anyone can appreciate and marvel at this amazing machine!!
About a century ago, this was considered very advanced high tech!
We need to talk real quick...
    Jay did this video;
@11:48 He talks about "Future Proofing". See my comment below.

As I use that term from time to time, I'd like to qualify the context of usage(and Jay, if you see this, here's what most people mean when they say it): When I say "Future Proofing", I don't actually mean to make a PC literally future proof. What is meant is to make a PC more capable of standing the test of time against future performance advancements.

if i may indecently add to your post?!
also to not have to buy a new pc every half year, because of the more and more power hungry applications. you don't want to have the feeling that everything is getting slower again.
in my case, razer; for the, not just, illumination of my keyboard, mouse and my headphones -adjacent- 550MB RAM - other programs are not better.
tbh, for the illumination of three devices 550MB RAM?
This is Icehouse at their finest. The whole album was sheer excellence! This is the US album version.

Edit: Another great track from that same album.

I guess you didn't think the UE I referred as FCEUX? I meant Nestopia the original before it got renamed to Nestopia UE, Otherwise I apologize. :)
And yeah, FCEUX is also a good alternative and it was (is?) look like Nestpoia UE. A good plus about it is the continuous development. Both the the two emulators had a long stop of development until they woke up again.

I felt so happy when Nestopia came back. I thought version 1.41 will be the last version. I still have this older version as a backup (it was differently built?) so that lets say, the new version won't work for some reason, especially after Windows Update or using another Windows, I can use the older version which may work. I do the same with other console's emus as well.

The first one was EXCELLENT! The second one was terrible. As soon as he started singing I shut it off. The third? He makes some spot on points, but the one about Ken's theme? Nah, I love the Top Gun OST and Mighty Wings is nothing like Ken's theme..

The first one is supposedly the original and first video that pointed out from the past. You can notice the date and the likes it received.
Posted the second one because it is stupid :D . Third video I was interested much about it, but thought you might like it.
    Edited: hate messed up typing.
I had to do an unplanned reinstall of Windows yesterday. My main SSD just up and died. I shut down Friday night and Saturday morning, nothing. Thank goodness for regular back ups. Just did one a few days ago.
