Had a look at the [all cores] & [per core] & got a bit scared lol. Seems like you can set a variable % to the cores ranging from -4% to 12%. Couldn't see how this would help though, although i'm probs just being dim.
The only options I got under ACC are [disabled] [auto] [all cores] [per core]
I'll have a look & see what that gives me.
Was wondering whether I need to have a proper AM3 board for this to work.
I want to enable the spare 2 cores on this & have read that this can be done by setting ACC to Auto in BIOS.
Well i've done this but still only got 2 cores :ohwell:
My mobo is an asus M3A78-T (BIOS is v1103)
Also heard that the BIOS has to be 'buggy' or badly written for this to work.
Anyone...
Recently replaced a 9700 pro card for a 9800 pro in my sons' xp system. I also changed the driver from 5.11 to 6.4 catalyst. No matter what drivers I use, the system will not remember any changes to the resolution settings. That is, the minimum is 800x600 and if i try to set it to any thing...
My system is set to receive AU & it has downloaded the latest version of WGA. I don't want to install this & I keep getting the yellow icon in the system tray nagging me to install.
I want to delete the download & then turn off AU but I can't find out where the AU downloads are stored...
I've got a HIS X850XT Iceq 2 card & I'm thinking of changing the coolier to an AC Silencer5 rev.2 Is the AC cooler quieter & better than the HIS cooler & worth changing to?
Cheers
Cheers for the info, it's helped a lot:respect: I'll probably get a gto. Out of curiosity tho, don't spose you'd know what the equivalent nvidia card would be?
I'm thinking of getting an x800 card but i'm not too clear on the suffixes ( pro, xl, gt, xt, gto, blah, blah) & what they mean for performance. Muchly appreciated if someone could give me the low down.
Cheers
