Cooling company Xigmatek has released Thor's Hammer - a new high-end processor cooler. Aside from its unusual name, Thor's Hammer covers all the basics of today's heat-pipe coolers. It measures 120 x 50 x 159 mm, weights exactly half a kilo, and can be equipped with up to two 120mm fans. It is constructed out of many aluminum fins attached to four 8mm and three 6mm U-shaped heatpipes that are in direct contact with the CPU. The Xigmatek Thor's Hammer is designed for Socket 754, 939, AM2/AM2+, LGA 775 and Core i7 1366. It is priced at 56.90 Euro.

56 euro = how mucho US?

HEH HEH HEH! Likin' the name. According to my father & to articles online, in Danish Norse mythology I'm related to Thor and Odin.

\m/

Hope it performs well...

have u seen TRIFX prices?

looks alot like TRUE black I hope it performs well

That is quite expensive.

Despite the fact that there are more expensive offerings from companys like TR, this is quite a bit more expensive than Xigmatek's other products

I might get one! I love xigmatek's stuff :D

500g! How do Xigmatek get them so light compared to other MF's, I might have to get me one of these if reviews show it out performs the S1283

I would buy a Xigmatek S1284 over a TRUE any day. HDT FTW.

You know I was going to order my Xig and bolt kit this week too, and now I think I might have to wait... Maybe..

Yeah, just the fins look different. I wont be surprised if it performs like one.

Looks like it will beat the S1283 all though that price OMG so ermm they can keep it.. O yeah looks finished unlike most.

who dares compare a true with that behemoth

But how does 2 same coolers ( but color ) come 2nd and 4th ?. Does the paint they use make such a difference ?.

iirc, the finish they added to the dark knight caused a slight drop in cooling performance over the standard S1283
