''Compatible with Windows 7 Logo'' Surfaces

oh man, imagine if someone went into a store selling win vista laptops and just drew a big 7 over the top with a marker.

You know that is exactly what will happen.

I will peel it off and add it to my awesome collection...

Or check this - write 'NOT' before the printed text.
That way, when it falls off, you don't know what you're dealing with there.
"Is it certified?" "Well, it's not not certified" "Yeah, but it's not certified either." "OMGOSH, what if it's certified and not certified at the same time!"

Maybe vandalizing the stickers would grant the product magic powers akin to drawing a higher than maximum label on any cartoon gauge or turn nob.
We could make every product "SUPER certified for Windows 7", and "certified for Windows 7.. in the hottest of ways."
How about "Certified for Windows 7.. between the hours of 5:00 AM to 8:00 PM" or.. "If you're reading this, the product is certified for Windows 7, but you have to read it once a day or the certification will be nullified."
And my favorite "If you don't sacrifice a live chicken every day at sunrise, this product will no longer be certified for Windows 7."

But I love my Personal Coke machine.

oh yeah. i cant wait for the inevitable posts from people saying how bad 7 is, how its laggy and how their PC doesnt work, or how their 20 year old laser printer using a COM port wont work and its all microsofts fault trying to make money...

hell i cant make shit up as good as what we usually get when a new OS launches :)

Hey that's me :p

HAHA, looks like they may have learned from the gaffe that was Windows Vista Capable and Compatible :)

Who cares....Just another marketing scam... We all know that hardware vendors will stick this sticker on old left over equipment that will not even sell at a yardsale for 25.00 bucks and market the christ out of it. That was Vista's true problem. Marketing hardware as Vista compatible when it struggled to run XP.

I wonder if we will see a price increase for similar computers that have this logo on it, instead of just Windows Vista, when they release the "upgrade now for free if your computer was bought in the last 30 days" thing.

i could do a better job in paint to make a logo, it looks out of place the blues to dark

I remembered an article before where a marketting guy was burned because of these "certified for vista" logos even if the rig was not.. Hope they dont make the same mi$take lol

Another obvious answer of adhesive spam.

i reckon they should do it in hologram... that'd look sweet ;)

I laughed at the Compatible with Windows Vista logo when I got my Acer monitor last year, of course it's fucking compatible it's a monitor FFS, what you need to worry about is if it's compatible with your video card, but of course if you need a sticker to tell you a monitor is compatible with Vista you're probably using a POS prebuilt Dell or something lol.

I wonder how far they are going to stretch "compatable". Is a PIII 800 going to be considered "compatable"?

From what ive heard it should be more compatible with older stuff than what Vista is.

I like the logo I made for my DVD copies.

I'll have to upload it:)

if it has a radeon 9550 and 512MB of ram, it would just be compatible :)

IDk

Only thing that has stopped me is the 512MB of ram. I have had 7 installed on a P2 400MHz machine.....LOLz

You have to turn ON ISA in device manager if you want to run a ISA card....

well i have vista running fine on a 1.6Ghz sempron, so anythings possible with 7 :)

The USS Enterprise has no such sticker therefore...
