Thermalright Shows off New CPU Coolers, Special Cases & Cogage brand

The Cyclone coolers are large CPU coolers with special fans to create a cyclone air flow to cool the fins and heatpipes. It comes in a full size variant as well as a compact version. They have also improved on the Ultra 120 by revising the surface area of the cooler and adding a hole within the fins to further aid air flow.


Thermalright will also be introducing two special enclosures to the market, which take advantage of their special heatsinks to cool the components with nothing but airflow created by the chassis. The one version holds fans on the side of the case, while the other has the cooling units embedded into the ceiling.


Then there is the Cogage brand, which utilizes the facilities and the expertise from Thermalright, but goes complete retail at a competitive price point including a fan in combination with the heatsink. These heatsinks are more affordable variants of Thermalright units, so you can expect to get almost the same cooling performance out of them.

PSU up front isn't exactly new idea. Arctic cooling did that with their cases, but psu had to be only theirs

1) Cyclones look awesome! People scoffed at TRUE when it came out too. All in all tho, I'm not 100% impressed until I see figures and comparisons. How well does it really do?
2) I actually like the colors, but wonder a: how much does this thing weigh b: how well does it work (figures/comparisons) c:how much of a pain in the neck is it to change parts? have to deconstruct the entire cage of HS fins. [I really wish these case manufacturers would include air-flow diagrams on their websites to show exactly how the air flows, so I know what I'm buying].
3) Nice job on a budget brand, I hadn't heard of them. Once again, comparisons? Figures?

VGA look already HEAVILY bent and this is without additional fan! Pretty bad commercial feeling. Big case, alot of space. It leaves me with a mixed feelings, but generaly good ones.

since thermalright always seem to make top-tier performing products, i'd expect that cyclone cooler to be not a gimmick, unlike their competitors who make gimmicky cylindrical coolers (thermal-something else-)
