OCZ Technology Group, a worldwide leader in innovative, ultra-high performance and high reliability memory, today expanded their lineup of DDR2 to include new high-speed 4 GB kits qualified to operate and excel at a low voltages. These new OCZ solutions are designed to be the ultimate upgrade for users who not only want to reap the benefits of performance memory, but want a future-proof choice for their system.
"Though enthusiasts are known for applying increased voltage to modules in order to obtain higher performance, our newest modules offer exceptional speeds at lower voltages improving overall performance and stability," commented Eugene Chang, Vice President of Product Management at the OCZ Technology Group. "By engineering modules with both high speed and reduced voltage requirements we are able to offer enthusiasts and gamers memory with increased headroom and overall better stability and performance over the long term."

OCZ's premier 1200 MHz, 1150 MHz, and 1066 MHz low-voltage offerings are optimized to leverage the latest DDR2 platforms, operating at blazing speeds to deliver enhanced overclocking capabilities, particularly important to enthusiasts and gamers looking to get the most from their RAM. Featuring a low-voltage specification ideal for maintaining memory stability and ensuring compatibility with a wide range of current and imminent motherboards, the latest OCZ DDR2 kits are an excellent way to achieve breakneck frequencies without exceeding 1.8V.

OCZ will release the low-voltage DDR2 kits under the high-end Blade and Platinum series designed specifically for enthusiasts:

me want 8gigs of blade 9600:cry: lets see price i hope there not asking 800$ for this like corsairs 16gig set, ddr2 has become dirt cheap now im never paying a 100$ for ram anymore:laugh:

Buying a pair. 1200mhz 1.8 volts! You can't ask for more with DDR2.

That PC-9600 is looking quite impressive. If it doesn't cost an arm and a leg, I might get some for my Q9650.

But since it will, bummer.

Not available at Newegg yet...

Holy crap! Those are amazing speeds and timings for those voltages.

Id love to buy a 1200 MHz pair, but I bet they will be expensive :ohwell:

I'm so happy I hadn't bought my 4GB kit yet. I think these will be it!!!

yeah, this will cost much less than Corsair's 16gb kit ($800 way overpriced).

that 1200mhz kit has pretty good timings w/ that voltages..
& I think many ppl can still buy this without losing their kidneys

no 1200 with 2x4GB

Yeahhhhhh this was what I was waiting for! Now if the 9600 blade would only be under $100.00.... I would get 2 kits, for sure.

Very Nice!! About time.

They cant charge too much though, since these babies have been out for almost a year and are low voltage and high speed and relatively cheap also.

Yeah, but DDR2-1100, check for the price of the DDR2-1200... it just skyrockets..
$230.00 for DDR2-1200 5-5-5-15 at 2.1v
So indeed... OCZ doing DDR2-1200 5-5-5-18 at 1.8v is top notch....
I doubt there will be a better DDR2 stick than that... this probably will be the last great stick of DDR2 era...... Of course, if not tagged on this crazy $230.00, because it just doesn't make any sense not moving to DDR3 (including selling the old and buying new ddr3 mobo) rather than paying that much for an old tec.
Under $100.00 would be just as fair as it should.

I bought the pc2 9200's with the $10 off promo code from newegg.
The 9600's were sold out.
But I think they aren't binning too tightly yet so should get 9600 performance since the IC's are the same...we'll see...
