Patriot Launches AMD Black Edition Ready DDR3 G Series

In addition to the pre-programmed enhanced latency, the modules are AMD Black Edition Ready for use with AMD OverDrive software. With this program, users can easily adjust and fine tune their memory bandwidth, timing, and voltages under Windows with ease on AMD-based platforms featuring AM3 processors and AMD 7-Series chipsets. "Platforms featuring the latest socket AM3 for AMD processors, including the AMD Phenom II processor family, takes full advantage of the new Patriot Gamer Series memory," said Leslie Sobon, VP of Product Marketing, AMD. It will be reasonable, give or take $5. I'm expecting it to be priced <$70 (the 2x 2GB kit).

Yeah i know when i red then saw the times a the website only thing black about it is the font they typed the page in. The whole paragraph above can be switched out for any dual channel kit.

These are not a gimmick like that stuff. This new label just means that it already has a AMD OverDrive Black Memory Profile. That would allow you to get the most out of your RAM with the click of two buttons.

That being a fact, it still has everything to do with the RAM and nothing to do with Crossfire. Good to know though, thanks for the info. I won't be so quick to dismiss "Certified" RAM when shopping.
