Synthetic heatsink testing is relevant for people using a heated piece of metal instead of a cpu. For the others I think using an actual cpu is better. I'm pretty sure tweaktown folks are nice people and well intentioned but unfortunately I don't find their testing methods good enough.

So you would rather them use a cpu that has voltage variations/fluctuation and stress testing software that also has variations, running on an OS that also has variations, in a case that has variations in ambient temp, running fans that have RPM fluctuations to move the air with the fluctuating temps?

Seems like a lot of variables that are out of control in a "controlled" test.

Ok, enough.

1. Do NOT call other people names/insults.

2. Cooler testing methodology from another website has nothing to do with this particular cooler or techPowerUp. If you want to discuss a website's testing practices, do it on their website.

3. Your discussion on this subject is getting worn out. You can go back and forth all you want and it will accomplish nothing. No one is going to change their mind here so I suggest you move along or take it to PM's. Arguing and childish behavior in the News section isn't going to be tolerated.

4. This is your warning, there will be no others given before further action is taken.

Where is the fans blowing in opposite directions? One fan blows air through the HS< the other pulls it out. The air is alll flowing one direction.

^ what fans are blowing in opposing directions? There are 2 fans on the cooler, one is pushing air through it and the other is pulling air through it (hence push pull). Air is not going to get trapped in the middle.

I would say watch the video if you don't understand how that works.

The video helped answer my question, I didnt realise that the coolers fan on the left hand side blades were inverted so it blows hot air out.

maybe this will help you guys some.
here is a test done by ME A USER AND OWNER of the Jing. read the note in the SS for more details.
BTW the room temp is 83f

PS i'm not trying to argue with anyone just providing some results that i have got with the cooler to help people that think the reviews are BS or whatever other reasons.
Also the rig has been crunching for about an hour before i took this SS so it has had time to heat up.

here it is in the rig i tested it in and the green has been removed.

Do regular fans just clip in too?

Neat.
