Getting New Power Supply : P

Hi All,

Right so Im gonna get a New powersupply, Im looking Really Spending up to £60. I also Need Fairly Long Cables as this is gonna fit in my Antec 300 that i just Bought from moonpig. I Also Intend on Modding it abit and doing Cable Management Etc.

Anyway I have Picked a Few out that are around my Price Range, Just wanted to see what one you guys think i should get or perhaps you Can Reccomend me Another One ?

OCZ Fatal1ty Series 550W
Coolermaster GX 550W PSU
Corsair 600W CX
OCZ Stealth Xstream II 600W

The parts it need to power are in my Specs List <--------------- I Do intend on getting a X4 955 or 965 in january so will need to be able to handle that also.

I like the look of the Fatal1ty's as I think I am going to grab the 750w in a few weeks, though out of that price range I would grab the Antec HCG 520w Antec 520W High Current Gamer PSU - 80plus Bronze....

I think on one post I made Someone Said The CX Wasn't To Good and that i should go for the OCZ Stealth Xstream II as Apparently they have had Good Reviews. Thought id check to See what everyone Else Thinks.

Also Will 500w to 600w Be Enough ?

I didn't know that. I'm not familiar with their CX line. I guess not all Corsairs are built to the same standards.

I Personally Like the Look of these Two Both had great Reviews, Out of these Two Which one would you guys go for ?

I Check with a Psu Calculator they Reccon the Maximum i need is 394w

Between those two I would pick the OCZ Fatal1ty Series 550W since its Modular.

Corsair 400CX would power that thing with a mere 4770 and X4 965 in it.....Corsair 550VX would be my choice for future growth and adequate headroom though.

Thanks for all the Suggestions, Sadly Some of the Psu suggested are over my Budget. I Really only £60 to Spend.

Alot of you seems to think The Corsair I dont think that one is Modular Either. Cant seem to find any Reviews on the CX Series.

I did think the OCZ was Pretty good But now im Unsure......Lol Choices ... :roll:

ive used 6 OCZ fatality 550w units there modular they hold up well they were put into machines that were identicle aka Athlon II x3 440 rana unlocked to C2 Phenom II at 3ghz with an ATI 4850 1gig 500gig samsung F3 etc etc worked flawlessly you just have to remember with OCZ theres no extra headroom 550w is the limit

This and I've ran a 5770 with 955BE on the 400CX. Both overclocked. Never a problem.

Why do you need a 600w+ psu? At most 500w. If you can find the 400CX get it.

I scored some good Deals on e.bay last mouth silverstone 560w only 20 pounds
And a Enermax Galaxy 850 EGA850EWL p.s.u. only 25 pounds
Not saying you shod by on the cheap but saves cash/dollars
the way i Did when i dont have much cash two by new.

Thanks Everyone, In the End i Bought the Corsair Cx 600w, I know i Dont Really Need 600w But for a 500w it was Under £50 and like most sites "Spend £50 or more Get Free Delivery So i Ended Up paying £55 for 600w.

Found Some Youtube Vids With people Who owned Corsair Cx Series and a Few People Replied Saying there Pretty good, I know one guy was Running a 970 X4 and 6870 on the 600w So Got Abit of room for Upgrading : p
