New, Unnamed Company Unveils Large, Colorful, High-Performance CPU Cooler Prototypes

Yeah, just noticed that one is from tigerdirect, there's more info about it at the store page here. Doesn't list the same compatibility as the K100

edit: Looking at the bottoms, the difference is the mounting holes. The K100 has more

Yay! Now our heatsinks will match our purses and shoes!

Uh you hardly have a boring beige box there buddy. Since when is a nice looking and at least non-clashing color scheme not something we care about?

I think these look pretty sweet.

Tese huge heatsinks are getting stupid.Just buy and H70 or the new H100 and you will never go back to these.

Thanks. That adds credibility to my theory.

I knew I had seen that cooler somewhere.

And...if my memory doesn't fail me, I think Spire made one very similar to this.
The second one looks a bit cheap, especially the fans, but it does seem to be able to take 60mm or 70mm fans screwed to the heatsink.
I only look at DX for "different" coolers so far...and I'm not satisfied...
Just FYI.
PC Cooler pretty much makes coolers for Spire ;)
They are also the OEM of quite a few other companies.

Fans look interesting.

Yeah, I wonder if/how those little fins on the blades affect sound. Doesn't seem like they'd be any quieter, but it might change the pitch or something to be less annoying.

Hmmm New Cooler you seek? Yoda says this look promising yes.

this has got to be the next Noctua's NH-D14 ,, its too similar in design

Thanks, that explains what they are and how they're used on aircraft, but I'm still not exactly sure what the effect would be here.
From what I saw, it should increase static pressure of the fans at low speeds.
Delaying airflow separation should also have positive effects on noise as well.
The fans blades are basically wings spinning around the rotor.

Alright, that makes sense then. Now I want those fans

THOSe are huge! are they loud? O_o

if noctua comes up with a better cooler than the D14 then we have a winner. i own the D14 and it's awesome. they say something about 20% improvement over that. if it's tru who beside silent computing freaks will ever need water cooling?
great news

Credibility to your theory that "The photographer was, obviously, asked not to take a pic of the top of the cooler, otherwise we would have a manufacturer name by now"?

But he did take a top shot, and masked it.

Obviously this cooler is not made by Noctua. Otherwise the photographer would not need to mask the brand name in these pictures. Right?

It could be the same way as those Cogage coolers that were exactly the same as Thermalright TRUE, but they were cheaper and under a different name. Is it?

I am guessing the coolers are from NZXT

Doesn't seem their style to me. Besides, there's a 3/4 shot that catches part of the top and I think I can see an "S" on it.

Uhm, right, I should have rewrote what I said earlier. What I meant, by my theory, was that the company did not wish to be identified.

Nice to see more competition in the high-end air cooling area. It often drives down prices and with more people competing for your hard earned cash, we see better and better solutions for cooling pop up.

Will be interesting to see what this nameless company has to offer. There are a lot of well established and trusted companies out there, they will have their work cut out for them.
