Six Core Sandy Bridge-E Chips Listed by British Retailer

Wow those prices are great, I am by going to find one, it seems that these prices we made a Vudu spell and we are all delighted

1 post and banned? Damn, that takes skill.

Nearly 150 in VAT? Nice.

Yep that's rip off Britain for you. These days to find the price of PC components for Britain just convert the $ into a £ and there you have it, oh chuck a load of VAT on top aswell lol.

I feel those conversions are inaccurate and misleading because most Internet-Oriented services do a 1:1 pricing scheme rather than converting it, e.g. Steam, Amazon (time to time), Hardware Sellers. There's also the 20% VAT applied, so the actual prices are likely substantially lower than stated.

These prices are rip off prices. Crazy expensive. I'll stick with my PII for now until the FX goes further down in price :D

That VAT is a killer.
Price can't be legit.

AMD Fans will say it's proof Intel is greedy and just out to rip you off and abuse it's market share, Intel Fans will point out the facts repeatedly. I wouldn't put too much (See: Any) stock in these alleged prices.

How much profit is amd making on these things? They're practically giving them away now...further price cuts cant be good for the bottom line. with pd so close...if their time table is accurate. why release this albatross?..... this has all been said before. (more threads...same performance...next it'll be osx or windows 95 benches)

Meh

Those prices are not bad, that means that the lower model will cost around £220-£230 hopefully. But I've never heard of that retailer, definetely not one of the most popular in the UK, but surely they're getting some hits since yesterday thanks to this. Hexus is associated with Scan which is one of the leading hardware retailers in the UK.

Intel's pricing is actually pretty decent, especially the 2500K/2700K range but the prices in general that we get in the UK are terrible, the conversion from dollars to pounds these days is just to replace the $ with the £. We also pay way to much VAT in this country, paying all that VAT to support non working chavs lol. Really is rip off Britain :shadedshu

It's not like we have any other company's offerings to compare prices to in that performance sector.

Exactly. There are alternatives that are cheaper, but they perform accordingly. If AMD had an offering in the $300 price segment, it would cause the price on the 26\2700k to drop.

Nah you're just a mug for paying taxes whilst the big boys roll away with billions of unpaid tax, but if you let them pull the wool over your eyes and convince you that a few million on benefits is what the problem is then you deserve a :nutkick:. :P

I've never heard of insight though even though it seems they have a few shops. Shame we are losing Best Buy as well when they hardly got started here.

Not sure why all the hostility, guessing your on benefits.. No worries not all people getting benefits are chav's, my point was one of the reasons we pay high tax in this country is becausce we support the unemployed etc. We get the prices we do in rip off Britain becausce people keep prooving that time and time again we will pay those prices.

Im not sure what you mean by being a mug for paying taxes either, should I just go on benefits aswell? Not really sure what your post meant?

Take it easy mate :)

Don't mean to be hostile, just saying that the reason we pay soo much tax is because the people at the top don't pay tax. It's easy to see when you look at petrol prices etc, easy targets to extract money from, the welfare bill is minuscule (although it is increasing, compared to other bills: public sector, MOD, overseas aid) and not paid for by consumer VAT.

Personally I'd like to see VAT brought back down to 15% although have to admit 20% isn't that high on low value essentials.

Yeah currently between jobs again, sigh fail economy. :p

Meh, Extreme Edition = Extreme Prices.

Why was he banned? I do not see anything offensive about his message. Unless it is some computer geek thing. I am new and very curious.

He posted a link to voodoo and wasn't a Jimi Hendrix's song.

Kikatek and Aria claim to have them for pre-order now.
