AMD have released a double dose of goodies this time round, so let's start with the 12.1a preview driver. It includes all the features found in the 12.1 preview and has a small number of improvements for Rage, which while sounding modest, can actually improve game play significantly for systems affected by these problems. The driver applies to HD 6000 & HD 5000 series graphics cards only.
  • Resolves some new texture corruption issues introduced by the latest version of the game
  • Improved performance ~5%
  • Smoother game play and reduces multicore sync points
  • Fixed mapbuffer failures when switching maps on 32-bit systems.
  • Fixed a game crash when switching maps back and forth on 32 and 64-bit systems

On to the 11.12 CAP2 profiles which give us CrossFire performance improvements for Project C.A.R.S.(DX9 version) and Counter Strike: Global Offensive. AMD don't say the amount of improvement seen.

The preview driver 12.1 made me lose FPS on 5850 (like 4-8FPS) I think I will wait til its official and more testing is done.

Im a idoit, I just noticed that this is 12.1a not the original 12.1 preview drivers as before.

I'm back on 11.12 after some issues with BF3 and 12.1. Maybe I will give these a shot.

works quite good i tested this with skyrim, ultra settings 2xAA 16xAF 1920x1200 + many hd mods :)
6850 CF

Edit:
flickering issue in Hard Resert when CF is Enabled is fixed

Thanks for the feedback. :)

Someone with a 5xxx series card want to comment on how the 12.1A does for them?

Where do I get the CAP2? Is it included?

Rage is such a let down.I dont think anyone cares about that turd anyway.

downloading now to update from 12.1 preview

Can someone test Photoshop CS5 to see if the OpenGL is still busted with these drivers?

Just finished benching with the preview driver. From what I can tell there's hardly an improvement at all. :(

5770 is clocked at 910/ 1310 MHz
