A nice little game Microsoft's Internet Explorer team and Mozilla play is gifting each other cake each time the other launches a new version of their browser. Mozilla sent Microsoft the latest one, to congratulate it on MSIE 10 launch (along with a much bigger one, of Windows 8). In its tweet, the MSIE team thanked Mozilla for the cake, and said it's looking forward to a version of Firefox optimized for Windows 8. It is rumored that Mozilla does/has in the past sent recipes along with their cake (keeping it open-source all the way). Microsoft launched its slickest, fastest version of Internet Explorer with Windows 8, a version for Windows 7 is slated for November.

Googles a bunch of sourpusses lol

Google can't send a cake they are not as cool.

Gotta love how they sent the recipe to keep it open-source.

I like how the lack of a comma in the bottom phrase subtly changes the meaning. Instead of "Love, Mozilla" it says "Love Mozilla" as a sort of subliminal message.

So right now...M$ has gotten 10 cakes while Mozilla has gotten...what are we, 16? 17? 20?

Suddenly I realize the truth behind Mozilla's insane version numbering. It isn't to look better than others, its to keep their programmers fed!!

Mozilla likes cake! :D

I divorsed Firefox lately for Chrome, I had enough crashed and nonstop memory munching.

T_T

That's weird. The last time Firefox crashed for me I had 80+ tabs, each of which are of animated gifs. Did the same with Chrome, same thing happened.

I don't find it weird at all. The internet is filled these days with pissed-off people having their FF crashing and freezing, I'm just one of them.

the lack of comma is great, and the open source recipe is the *drumroll* icing on the cake

Ha! First thing I noticed. I don't think it's really subliminal though, it's rather clear that the meaning is different, though from what I understand, pastry chefs do not like commas and periods because it can cause problems which then can appear to be mistakes in the decorating of the cake - did you notice the bottom row of the blue dots?

I have gotten fond of chrome since getting a android phone. It allows me to use the same account on both the browser and phone.

sorry none of them i use as my main browser now

So does Firefox.

So will they be posting that recipe online? I kind of want to make it...

IE 10 is crap not worth wiping my anus with :D

I like cake!

With Christmas coming up, make sure to bring cake instead of strawberry milk :)
