I have a small ASUS laptop that has recently had issues connecting to the home wifi network. After I type in the wifi password it displays a loading bar and then says Can't Connect to Network. I have tried every fix I could think of: disable/reenable adapter, uninstalling the adapter and reinstalling it, rebooting the laptop, rebooting the router, and troubleshooting the adapter. The laptop is running and Windows 10 and does not have an ethernet port. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You using the correct security type on both the laptop and router?

What router? What laptop?

Edit:

Do other devices connect OK to router?
Does the laptop connect to other access points?

I'm not exactly sure what using the correct the security type means. The router is a Linksys WRT1900AC and the laptop is an ASUS E205SA.

EDIT:
All the other devices in the house connect to the wifi. I haven't checked if the laptop can connect to other access points.

EDIT EDIT:
The security mode on the router is WPA2 Personal

There are WPA and WPA2 (TKIP and AES) in your care, based on your router info.

Is the AC router set to broadcast n? I know on my router I have it set so that one channel broadcasts n and the other channel is AC only.

The wifi adapter is Qualcomm. The router is set to a mix of B/G/N.

Uninstall and reinstall the Wi-Fi drivers. I dont know if youre running SEP or norton AV, but at the company I work for, they use Symantic Endpoint Protection and the latest version they deployed can mess with users Wi-Fi profiles. Uninstalling SEP and reinstalling it corrects the issue.

Id try reinstlaling the Wi-Fi driver sthough.

I just tried connecting to the wifi again and I noticed that while the loading bar was displaying, the adapter turned itself off and on again. Anyone know why this happens?

EDIT:
I keep turning off the power management things but the adapter continues to reboot itself.

What options do you have under the following :

Right click on the network icon>network and sharing center>change adapter settings>right click the adapter>configure>advanced tab

You may need to match the channel width to what the router is configured to. Also is your adapter dual band?
