Nice update.

Font is a little small or weak, but I can deal with it.

Maybe I should clean my glasses.....lol.

Oh yeah it is crisper.
lol

Oh there is a thread about this.
My opinion: it looks like shit. The site is less readable, flat as hell, the colours are really bad. IF IT WORKS, DON'T FIX IT. Seriously, what was wrong with the old style? Next you can make it into that fucking Google material design.

No, previously there was at least a touch od blue, and article titles were in rather nice blue shade, whereas now everything is pretty much gray and white.

Oh btw, a reminder for anyone who hasn't noticed: the RSS url changed a little bit.

Indeed, the original RSS URL now has a list of three feeds:

some of the comments in this thread puzzle me a little..

i have looked at the site on my little 12 inch laptop and my main system.. to be honest i would not have noticed the changes without being told they had been done..

it all looked okay before and it still looks okay.. i am using the chrome browser..

are we all seeing the same thing.. it seems not.. he he

trog

Really? Im not surprised. This place has it's fair share of anal retentive ,OCD, condescending know it all's.

It seems to be fixed now.

Font seems better now(Firefox). I'm on my HP Probook 455...and I'm no longer seeing double vision....:).

Don't know what you did...but it does look better.

Best,

Liquid Cool

Change font please...
+1 This light font is not good for me. In fact after one day with it I notices that I used a lot less time on TPU. Please go back to what ever font used before.

My Firefox frontpage is still in this semi transparent font. Forums is and was OK.I hope that I don't have to re-calibrate my monitor to read TPU. In that case TPU will lose.

Hmm...I was going to suggest clearing the cache, closing Firefox and re-opening....but....I haven't done that in days myself. All I know is, I was seeing the same semi-transparent, doubled appearing garbled text that you are/we're...and now it appears clearer. I wouldn't call it ideal in the least, but at least it's semi legible.

The rest of the site "sans the right side of the main page" looks/looked great.

Best,

Liquid Cool

Chrome text is sharper, didn't notice it overly til w1zzard said it as fixed :p

Can you please make the visual difference between unvisited and visited links more apparent? The colors are quite similar at the moment, so it's hard to see which links i've already visited. Since TPU is not the only site i browse, naturally. So several reviews that are linked here i've already read, and i would like to see which ones. With the old design it was easier to see. Many thanks.

I'll get used to the new font regardless, but I'd say it's objectively less readable than the old one. I feel like my eyes are trying to focus on something it thinks is out of focus...It reminds me of going from "sharp" to "smooth" in the anti-aliasing settings of text in Photoshop.

Edit: I don't know whether the forum simply hasn't been changed yet or whether I'm just not seeing the changes due to cache or whatever, but going from reading the comments under the article to reading the comments directly in the forum thread is actually such an improvement.
