PC Gaming Hardware Market Mints Billions, Exceeds $30 Billion - JPR

That's pretty impressive for a market that was more or less declared dead within the last few years by all of the iGenius.

I remember me thinking then that i-dont-think-they-where-Genius saying that! :D

By those stupid mainstream journalists, you mean.

Every time each year when the computer sales are declared less than the previous year I have pointed out it does not take this separate hardware into account, and is not a true reflection of the industry or of PC gaming. :)
Me too:)

RGB's saved the PC (trolling)

^^Can the RGB fad get any bigger?

Where would the PC gaming hardware market be without teenage gamers and their parents' credit cards?

Simple answer is Yes. This post is about HARDWARE market, not software ;) Meaning that even if a user pirates a game, he still needs to buy the hardware for it in order to be able to play.

BS i can run Crysis in 4K on my toaster.

But PC gaming is dead, right?

"Additionally there is superior control with mouse and keyboard control interfaces."

No freaking doubt. I keep trying to use controllers via Steam Link and get frustrated. Every time I go right back to the desktop for the superior control provided by a good ol' keyboard and mouse.

These are games that have been optimized for a controller too. An example that applies to just last night is Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2. I was getting so pissed because I couldn't quickly swivel the camera around to see my surroundings. I am now of the mind that controllers are only good for fighting games and possibly driving games; both of which are two genres I don't play these days.

Long live PC gaming!

Those several deaths were all only near death experiences ... soon the low sales of gaming laptops will predict the demise of PC gaming ... and for real this time

RGB extends way beyond "periphreals" now.
We have yet to see PSU with RGB and a water block ... but that's about it

Maybe not RGB AND a waterblock, but there have been RGB PSUs. I think Thermaltake has a model.
