Fallout 76: Atom Shop Prices Reach New Level of Absurdity

I am seriously scared for TES6.

Can please someone just shot dead this already dying horse.
Considering all that money they're making, they are far away from being dead, even when releasing turd after turd since 2006.

Unless You're talking about Fallout, then yes, it died long ago, however Bethesda hired some highly skilled necromancers, that don't give a sh*t about the zombies' appearance...

I am seriously scared for TES6.
Why? It's all just as planned and expected - going downhill starting with Oblivion...

it will be a cold day in hell before id give my money for in game digi stuff, im liking the game tho, I got my first bug with the last patch "I have turn my pc off to come out the game" im glad I was feeling left out … ps my 580 popped its clogs lastnight RIP.

Interesting EVERYONE now $H!T$ on Bethesda for $30 game + $30 in-game cosmetics items, yet
each Ubi/EA title nowadays is $60 engine + $60 basic texture pack + $60 4h of SP story mission + $60 season pack + $60 per DLC + $60 required XP boost + over $9000 in P2W/not-really-just-cosmetics items and NOONE bats an eye.

Some gamers want to support they game and this is a way to do it and show other games that they have done it.
There is no problem with this one.
There are supporters out there who spend thousands or more to support their favorite game.

You mean no one bats an eye over Battlefront 2?

Also where are those 60 dollar texture packs? I'm curious.

Here's a couple random Ubi titles in terms of playtime

Please, go back to your cave and check where you pulled that nonsense from.

I am seriously scared for TES6.

Can't go well either way now can it.

Option 1: they completely overhaul / change the engine and create a list of problems that will take eons to fix + mod support will take a similar amount of time.
Option 2: they once again revamp Creation and get another FO76. Don't be surprised if they add online elements as well. After all, why toss out the good work already done ey?

Bottom line, they should've made radical changes a long time ago. Somewhere around FO4, perhaps... where any gameplay in the city still is a stutterfest to this day and your FPS gets slashed in half. They chose to ignore that. The community chose to reward it. Bethesda and fans have dug themselves a hole that is pretty hard to get out of.

And its a damn shame IMO. I'd much rather they produce something worthwhile because when they do, its nice to explore it.

What tickles me most is that FO76 is down to to sub £15.00 in some places.

So, my thoughts on it so far, I did purchase the game, I picked it up for £20. I wouldn't have paid asking for it.

It is a pretty awful game as games go. It is extremely buggy and glitchy, I have spent hours in what is considered a multiplayer game just being able to join my friends team or vice versa. The online system is very bolted on and a hatchet job, but we knew this with the creation engine not being an engine designed around MP Originally.

The lack of NPC's does make it quite tedious, the audio-logs interrupting once/another causes problems and the landscape does just feel completely empty, especially since the maps only have up to 12 other players on them you hardly see any other person unless teamed up.

They have, as of a week ago, finally added push to talk, That was hilarious in itself

The god rays through the ground are EXTREMELY bad and need fixed ASAP, if you're heading south and up a hill early morning you struggle to see.

HOWEVER..... I have actually played/enjoyed it enough to warrant some enjoyment out of it. I must say it is very far from even being considered a polished turd but there is something about it.

Atom store, doesn't interest me, I haven't even touched it at all. As long as it remains Cosmetic, I couldn't care less about it, if people are dumb enough to waste $40 on a costume, well so be it.

I would still say Bethesda did some things right with Fallout 76. The world is there, they have a pretty good handle on worldbuilding as they always have had. Gameplay isn't bad in itself. Their no NPCs mantra is probably the worst of the bunch as that took out a lot of the few remaining RPG elements in addition to what the new modified SPECIAL already did.

Technically, now after a few patches it's reasonably stable. I have had crashes but these were after 5-6 hours of playing (which I'd say is not good for me anyway :)). What they said about reworked lighting and weather engine or whatnot seems to be on the money as well - nature scenes are much more beautiful than in Fallout 4.

This is not a RPG. There is no story. Nothing you do matters. You can't role play because lets say you want to be a bad ass and clear out this area of "zombies" and bandits to protect a town. Well... not possible in this game because everything comes back in a few seconds.

You can't even help people with issues because there are no people! You follow audio recordings to find people but you know there are none in this world.

Everyone has already been dogpiling on EA for quite awhile, due to these issues. I don’t know where you’ve been.

As to Ubi, lots of base game content there. I’ve managed 80 hours or more in every AC title from Black Flag onward.

Might want to get facts straight before diving in again on this.

The Fallout 76 hate is getting boring now. Many people hating on this game haven't even played it. The only complaint I have with it is it's really buggy and crashes... a lot. That's it. The game itself is pretty good actually (Just an unpopular opinion passing by...).

Yes it's fun with friends (duh, it's a multiplayer game...) but also enjoyable solo imo.

Stop jumping on the bandwagon with the hate jeeeze...

Sounds like all their other games based on the same engine. So the hate is well deserved...

I get the point you're going for, but that's a pretty healthy exaggeration. With Premier I pay $99 total for all/most Origin games including Battlefield 5, (and soon Anthem) with all DLC. That makes Fallout 76 seem even worse. Microtransactions aren't new for EA/Ubi/Bethesda aren't new or going anywhere. It's the new norm. But as long as the core game is great and the microtransactions are purely cosmetic/optional I don't have a problem with it. But when the core game is a complete dumpster fire like in the case of FO, and the microtransactions are super-overpriced cash grabs, while ignoring the problems with the game, like Bethesda is doing. They brought this on themselves. And they only made it worse with the bag fiasco too.

I got AC Black Flag and Origin for free and I'm currently playing Odyssey for free on Google's Project Stream with the promise of getting it for free sometime after January 15th, so I can see why Ubisoft isn't getting the hate it used to.
