Diablo IV Announced at BlizzCon 2019

More or less looks like D2 updated to today. Which would make it very very good game. :D

But its Blizz, who knows what will happen..

I like all the Diablo games. Still the best one I think was the Diablo 1 Hellfire expansion :) That really got the blood boiling and it was pretty scary.
Hope the D4 will be as good or better.

I do. Always will. I dont care their beliefs or supports. I play games because I enjoy them. Just like I eat Chick-Fil-A because I enjoy their food. I dont give a shit about their religious beliefs.

PPl need thicker skin these days.

People are dumb and are fucking sheep. Fucking get on with your life. They've apologized and made things right and explained their reasonings in detail. Move on.

Edit: For those that haven't seen. J Allen brack goes into detail in an interview regarding the Hong Kong stuff.

It should really quell the naysayers but so many people these days are so close minded and have already made hasty decisions that it won't change their mind. And j Allen actually stated what I have said all along; you brought something not related to the game that was being played, politics, and created a world wide political issue for blizzard that didn't need to happen. It was clearly stated in the rules that this was not allowed and not in spirit of the game or sport and they were punished for it. It has nothing to do with the content of the protest but rather you took focus away from the event in progress.

But let's go up and arms and protest blizz and never buy their stuff again. Seems pretty unreasonable don't you think?

Edit 2: fixed formatting. I don't know how it got so messed up. I blame me doing this on my phone

The same people who spout this sort of thing are almost always the same people who encourage others to "vote with your wallet" though.

Blizzard fucked up hard enough that people are voting with their wallets. It should take much more than a non-apology in the west while their Chinese social media suckles on the Chinese teat, and a couple of shiny trailers, for Blizzard to turn that around. That's being principled and following through on a decision, as opposed to loudly blustering about your outrage only to fold as soon as it's convenient.

J Allen Brack has already stated though that they have no control over their chinese counterpart. Blizzard cannot work directly in China and therefore have to have a partner. And they have no control over their partner does in the Chinese market.

As for getting on with my life, cannot say it interfered with it to start with.
Sorry I didnt mean you directly. I just meant ppl in general.

Even though the Diablo series got me into ARPGs. There have been enough in the past 20 years to make me essentially forget about Diablo. Whether Torchlight, POE, Grim Dawn, Victor Vran and Titan Quest have all been fun to play and Grim Dawn is so deep it could be the only game in my library and keep me sated for weeks if not months.

And yet Brack's name is on the non-apology they published that was analysed and concluded to likely be at least partially chinese-written, and where the only actual admission of fault Blizzard made was that "In hindsight, our process wasn’t adequate, and we reacted too quickly. ".

Brack's later statement makes a very clear point: ```"We will do better going forward, but our actions are going to matter more than any of these words.```

You can't excuse this by claiming Blizzard had nothing to do with it, when every one of Blizzard's statements is very clear in it's language: "We, Activision Blizzard, acted too quickly" "We, Activision Blizzard, will do better going forward".

As he states, it's what they do, not what they say, that should form the basis of whether or not forgiveness is forthcoming from the playerbase. I will continue to ask for evidence of their commitment until there is more done from Blizzard's side on upholding their supposed "core values", which include: "Play nice; play fair." "Every voice matters." "Think globally." "Lead responsibly." "Learn and grow."

Too little too late. I'm not supporting anything Blizzard until they get off the Communist teat of the PRC. This is coming from a lifelong fan too.
Good cause im personnaly supporting the sh* out of Blizzard now that they got off the Capitalist teat of the USA . This is coming from a totally new fan too .

If they make it online like 3 I'll definitely pass.

Count on it

Hehe well its not like China is an 'uncapitalistic' alternative is it

Apparently they've already stated in an interview that there will not be an offline play mode.. From Guru3d

Blizzard has confirmed that Diablo 4 will not have an offline mode. Speaking during a panel held at BlizzCon 2019, lead designer Angela Del Priore addressed a question about whether the game can be played solo and whether it will support "a full offline mode."

"We are not going to support an offline mode," Del Priore replied. "But as I said before, nothing in DIablo 4 is going to require partying up. You can play solo and dungeons are private. Campain quest areas will [also] remain private."

so like you I'll be skipping this aswell

Probably I'm skipping. I'd probably have skipped D3 + RoS but as I got it for free, I played it for about ~100h total. Just didn't have that feeling what D2 still has. Still play it sometimes unlike D3, can't even remember when I fired that up last time.

I'm not saying that D3 is crap, but they just couldn't make it as good what D2 was (and still is). If it's not broken, don't fix it. :rockout:

Played all Diablo games except Diablo 3 and I'm not all that hyped inti D4... I spent so many hours on D2 LOD and finished the game using all characters multiple times...had fun with multiplayer too... I wish they'd remake that game...
They are actually:
